My daughter has a cheerleading competition this weekend and I wanted to give her sqad members some kind of good luck treat, but I'm not creative. Any ideas on what I can do?

What can I do next?

You could do the beaded safety pins with their pom colors or make them bows or ribbons for their hair. The other ideas are shoe laces or little angel pins. There are also friendship bracelets or good luck pennies and socks.

The most common in our culture is the rabbits foot... but a lot of people have an aversion to that these days. Not sure how much money you are willing to spend, but maybe you can find some little necklaces that either have a coin or a horseshoe or a 4 leaf clover on them? You could give them all a brand new shiny penny and have them put it in their shoe, that's an old one. A charm bracelet maybe with a horseshoe charm on it.

When I saw your title, I was thinking more of my former 3rd graders the days before they took their big state test. One gift my 3rd grader got that he held during the whole test was a gold $1 coin. He'd never seen one before and it was very special to him. Not sure if teen/tween girls would feel the same, but maybe?!?

A few unconventional good luck charms: crickets, ladybugs, rainbows, dolphins, tortoises, elephants, bamboo.

For my daughters cheer squad i got blue and gold M&M's *(school colors) from Zurcher's and made lables that said perscription for the perfect performance. I have a friend who is a pharmacist and she got me perscription bottles (she said people came in asking for empty bottles quite often). I put things like Warrior Pharmacy, their name, coach as Doc., take 3 before performance, etc. They loved it. I have also done lables for water bottles that say spirit or pep or good luck water. Have made bead keychains that say MHS Cheerleader they could put on their bags.
