Good Facial Moisturizer

I am 31 and don't really wear makeup. I was looking for a good moisturizer with an SPF that would make my pores look smaller. I wouldn't mind if it was tinted, but hopefully reasonably priced. Thanks for any recommendations!

What can I do next?

I use Clinique.
Women who are younger than me, think that I am younger than them!

Then, I also like, Garnier Fructis. For off the shelf drugstore brands.
Or Oil of Olay.

I second Clinique. I wear the Even Better brand with SPF in it. It really smooths my skin and I swear my skin looks more vibrant even when I remove it.

I can't speak to the SPF or tint, but if you really want just a good, inexpensive moisturizer, Pond's face cream is awesome. It's all I ever use...VERY sparingly, because it only takes a little dab here and there...and I may not have much, but I know I have nice skin. In fact, a very done up teenager asked me at church the other day if I wear makeup and I said, "No, why?" and she replied "It looks like you do...your skin is so nice, it looks like you have foundation on, but I didn't know because you aren't wearing any eye makeup." I'm telling you, I almost cried. What a huge compliment, as my hair is going grey and I generally feel old and ugly these days.

Hope you find what you're looking for, but maybe check out the Pond's anyways...it's really good.

I use Clinique products and have since I was about 11. I am 51 and people swear I am in my early 30's. Granted, I was blessed with good genes, drink a lot of water, use SPF and keep myself in shape.

Clinique has several steps. I use the Repairwear Series now... laser serum, eye cream, revitalizing cream and if I am super dry I use the Moisture Surge which is fantastic. I also have a small bottle of Jose Moran pure Argon Oil that I will add to the moisturizer at night.

Clinique does carry a tinted SPF called City Block and I think they just started a new tinted heavier duty moisturizer (Moisture Surge--pink container) and a pore minimizer product.

You can get free samples at the department store. If you don't like it they will refuen your money and the products are dermatologist recommended.

When you look at the long run, they are not that out of line on price. I paid about $60 for 1 jar of moisurizer back in September and I am no where near out right now.

I purchase when the Clinique specials are running at the department stores and I stock up. Plus, get new samples of things that I already use which extends the lifetime of my original purchases. Ordering online is good too because they always have specials and you pick your samples.

Best wishes!

Skinceuticals has a tinted one. Additionally, I do love Dr Hauschka.. their Rose Cream (not the day time cream) is so great.. pricey, but I have found it cheaper online.. It's rich and I think does make my pores look smaller..

Also.. they have a bronzer cream. it's separate from the rose, but it's pretty.. It's one of those things though where you have to try it out.. see IF the stores (whole foods) have samples.. smaller stores don't always carry samples b/c hauschka makes the vendor pay for them.. however, WF also seems to have them.. try out a few products.. it's a great line

I use the Mary Kay Night Extra Emollient Cream. Since it's for night, it doesn't have an SPF.

However, you can use a foundation that has SPF in it. Doesn't mean you need to get all "dolled up" - but a good foundation will help your skin tone look more even and the foundation will have the SPF you are looking for.

You know - seeing that you are in Boulder? I would go to my local ski shop and see what they offer in way of facial cream for the slopes! You are almost a mile high there! :)

I like all of Mary Kay's facial products - been using them for 15 years. They have several day time moisturizers (some lighter some heavier) with spf of 15 to 30. You can go on line and find a mary kay rep in your area.

CeraVE AM facial moisturizer is outstanding. Has SPF 30 and Hylarunic Acid + ceranimides that moisturize your skin and antioxidants that protect. It is non comedogenic and not very expensive. Also highly recommended by real dermatologists.

You may also want to look into a BB cream or a primer with SPF if larger pores are a big problem for you. Many moisturizers will not solve this.

When I can't afford to get my love, Mary Kay, I go for Oil of Olay. They have several products that have SPF in them. I personally can't use any products with SPF on my face because I break out in fives on my face every single time. When I was shopping for a moisturizer a couple of weeks ago, I almost accidentally bought the daytime moisturizer with SPF but I use the night time moisturizer and the night time eye gel (because even the original day time moisturizer without SPF seems to affect my skin now, stupid hormones).

If you can afford Mary Kay I would see if you have a local representative and check out their products. They're not too spendy, and they're all natural. They are really wonderful, quality products and they don't do any animal testing.

If money is no object... Intraceuticals. Hundreds of dollars each month (like 800+), but your skin will look 12. Yep. 12. Prepuberty. My actor friends use it. And then get a 'boost' with a salon wand "push" right before carpet walking & photo shoots. It is jaw dropping amazing (I got a swag bag of it from a friend as a divorce present last summer).

If you're like most of us on a budget:

- Arcona
- Clinique
