Good Face Cream - Parkersburg,WV

About a year ago, I started using Oil of Olay regenerating serum. My face started feeling and looking dry (which is unusual for me) and I just started looking older (I am 10 years older than you!). I love it and it is not greasy. I use it morning and night after washing my face. Instantly, I could see a difference in my skin. It is $21 for a small bottle but it lasts a long time. I

I use the Jason brand. I like the "C" series for anti-aging. It does have a bit more scent then I usually like, but it isn't greasy and it has more protection than most regular creams. A little goes a long way too.

OMG - you have to try Sarah-Noelle. Joni Horn makes it herself and there are NO chemicals. I have never been one to use a lot of skin care because all of the ones from stores just felt like sandpaper on my skin. but there are no chemicals in hers and everything is all natural and she knows SO much about what would help. I would definately recommend her serums. I use them at night . They do go on a little oily but it's because of the essential oils that your body needs and it soaks right in and is incredible! Also, her face masks and scrubs are awesome and will leave your face feeling so soft!!!! But i would definately recommend the Ultimate eye serum and the face serum. The toner is really good too!

Aveno and loreal are my fav... I usually wait for sales at cvs and save some couponsto go along... so I don't feel s guilty on spending $ on it...

Not cheap, but I love "Hope in a Jar" by philosophy. I get it at Sephora. I also have used neutrogena products, and the dermatologist says they are a great product.

I swear by Clinique. I am 33 and have been using their products for about 15 years, although it only took a few days for me to see a difference in my skin after using their products. I started having a big problem with acne when I was about 19 or 20, and I was devastated by it. Clinique saved my life LOL. Once I tried it on the advice of my grandmother, the acne cleared. I got to the point where I couldn't afforf to buy it and the acne came back. I ended yp on Accutane at one point and THAT did not even take care of the acne. I started using Clinique again, adn poof the acne cleared up! I have been using it faithfully ever since. Just like everyone else, I am on a tight budget. Although most mall brand cosmetice have the reputation of being more pricey, Clinique really goes a very long way. Clinique is one of my few guilty pleasures, and I have found a few ways to get it for free or cheap. My husband is military so I am able to get Clinique at a military rate, which is even better. If you have that option, you are even better off to get Clinique. You can go to a Clinique counter and tell one of the sales girls that you are thinking of switching to Clinique, and ask if they have samples. They are usually pretty liberal with their samples, just don't bat an eye at their prices. The samples usually last me about a month, and when I purchase the products a regular-sized bottle will usually last me about 3 months, and a large will last up to 10 or 11 months. They have 2 or 3 different sizes for most of their facial cleansing products. As far as their make-up goes, on a dailt basis I usually just use their tinted moisturizer with SPF 15. It is the BOMB, and has a really long shelf-life. (How many over-the-counter brands don't need to be replaced within a year?) You can also go online to Clinique.com for information about which of their products would be best for your skin type, as well as free offers at certain times of the year, and I think that they may even offer free samples online.
I have acne scars that a dermatologist could not do anything about without chemical peels or laser therapy, and Clinique's clarifying lotion really made a difference by actually reducing the appearance of the acne scars. That Clarifying Lotion is not really a lotion, it is in liquid form, and it is really the "difference maker" for me. I love the way my skin feels. I use their bar soap (I can't remamber what it is called right now), then the Clarifying Lotion, then the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion-that is really a lotion :)The entire thing is called their 3-Step Skin Care System I think. I promise you, I rarely even wear make-up anymore. I usually only wear make-up if I want to 'gussy up' for my husband, if we are going to church, or if we are going out somewhere special. Another example of what this does for me, I promise you this is a true story, I would not make this up: The last time I was in the hospital (this was in September of 2007), I came out of surgery and was in recovery. As soon as I woke up I had about 5 nurses standing around my bed. I remember thinking that something must be wrong, so I said, "what's going on?". One nurse said, "Nothing, we just HAVE to know what you use on your skin..." When I said that I used Clinique, they were all nodding their heads yes and saying that they had heard that anyone who uses it swears by it. It sounds crazy, but it is a true story. I asked my husband if that really happened or if I dreamed it, and he told me that it really did happen that way. I gotta tell you after that happened, I went out and bought ALL Clinique products: eyeliner, eye shadow, blush, lipstick, mascara, pressed powder, the works! Honestly the mascara is the best. None of the other made much of a difference, except that they go on really smooth and feel really light and nice on. They look great on as well. I have never had a problem with eye shadow getting into creases in my eyelids, or with blush looking splotchy, but I have never been one to wear dark or heavy makeup because I have a really fair complexion. I just love the way the mascara goes on. The one I get is Naturally Glossy, and it does not clump up at all.

I use the Olay Total Effects with sunscreen. I have seen it get great ratings. I also like the regenerating serum. The serum feels a little wierd when you first put it on, but after a couple mins, your skin feels amazing. Not sure how greasy the Total Effects is, I have super dry skin, so it doesn't feel greasy to me. You can get both at Costco or Sams Club for less than you pay at Walmart or a drugstore. But they are bigger sizes, so I'd make sure you like them before going there.

The best thing you can do to fight aging is to use a good broadspectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen of SPF 25 or higher every day. Protecting your skin from the sun now saves wrinkles later. So head to your local drug store/grocery store and get yourself a good sunscreen. This will also help protect you against skin cancer and set a good example to your children.

Unfortunately, good skin care and little money do not go together - I'm sorry. I've worked with a wellness company for the last 17 years and we carry a top of the line skin care division with Nicole Miller's name on it - so it has to be good - her name is her life.

Because of this work - I have learned a lot about skin care quality...so that's where the opinion about good/cheap are not possible.

The Nicole Miller line is great for protection of young skin (and we correct older skin also). I promise you that it is better in quality than anything listed below...and the company - which chose to ship directly to customers vs putting the products on a shelf (that's why we can do better for less)- allows customers to get their products free with a few referrals. That is an option I love for moms - free products is a huge helpt these days - right?

The basic skin care line is less than $50 and there are specialty creams for each needed purpose - no greasy anything.

I advise you to NOT go with the Nicole Miller line! The face cream made my skin feel like it was going to crack. It's not all natural and it's expensive. The only way you can buy it is becoming a Melaleuca customer and spending at least $70 per month.
I have only tried the face cream and the mascara(which smells like cigarettes) but I didn't want to waste anymore money on it.

I LOVE, LOVE the Jason brand! Also, Alba makes wonderful face creams. They are truly good for your skin without harsh chemicals. You can find them at www.vitacost.com at a discounted price or you can buy the Alba products at most Target stores.
I also love Organic Essential's lotion. It's kind of expensive but WORTH IT! :)

My dermatologist suggested I use Cetaphil or CeraVe. I asked if the high priced dept store brands really are better and he said if you can afford it and it works, then by all means use them but your best bet is the ones mentioned above along with sunscreen everyday. Oh and make sure and wash your face at night...this is very important. I use the cetaphil cleansing bar at night and in the morning I use the CeraVe hydrating cleanser - it is great for a gentle cleanse and my face really isn't very dirty in the morning so I don't need the harsh stripping of a deep cleanser. I follow up with the CeraVe cream and my face is doing wonderful. The best part is that it isn't so dried out and irritated. Good luck!

I love origins. I just wait for the 25% off coupon and get my annual supply. I've heard really good things about cetaphil. You just have to find what works for your skin b/c what works for me, doesn't work for one of my girlfriends and vice-versa.

My mom, MIL, grandmother and I all swear by Mary Kay's Timewise set. The moisturizer is only $22 and will easily last five to six months. It's not greasy, and we all get amazing compliments on how wonderful our skin looks (and my mom and I have horrible skin). Hi T., My dermatologist has recommended Cetaphil to me and my teenage daughters. It is very light, not greasy and seems to work realy well. I'm not sure about the anti-aging part, but doc uses it and she looks great?? It isn't expensive and lasts a really long time. Price is usually around $11. or so. Mary Kay has a line called Velocity. It is great for the young skin... they have a cleanser and moisturizer... fairly inexpensive (12.00 each). Go to the website, www.marykay.com and find a consultant in your area!!! Good luck and God Bless!

The most important thing you can do is use a lotion with sunscreen in it. I use Neutrogena face lotion with spf 45. On rainy days and at night I use Oil of Olay. I think both are really good. Under your eyes you want to use something different. I would say Oil of Olay Regerist but you may get better advice on that. My derm almost always recommends Neutrogena and even in the summer for sunscreen on your body she says that and Coppertone are the ones who always do their research and the other companies follow their suit. good job starting young.
ps/ I was also told at a young age to use a sponge to put makeup on, not your fingers b/c even the slightest tugging pulls your skin and gives wrinkles.
