So What Happened?

It took me and my husband finally to go to get counseling, but we did it! We decided to go to Lifework counseling center and it's very comportable and good for us. Cost were cheaper than any other place, but still it's still kind of big issue for me. So I'll be looking for some kind of finacial help for that. I'm thinking about getting medicade or go to health department. I'm not sure this can work. But overall, we took 2 session so far, till now there's no single finghting or arguing at all. I feel very easy these days too, so I didn't even ask couselor about my depression yet. Thank you go much for everyone.

There is a place called "Lifeworks" in Carrollton at Josey Lane and Trinity Mills. They have several counselors on staff there, and some of them specialize in couples and marriage counseling. The number is ###-###-#### and they have a website www.lifeworkscc.com
I went about a year after my daughter was born for some lingering feelings of depression/anxiety that I couldn't work through on my own. I'm not sure about the cost as the first 6 weeks of my sessions were covered by our insurance plan. Everyone there was very nice, I definitely recommend it if it fits your budget. Good luck to you both.

The best thing that you can do is go to your medical doctor and talk to him/her about getting on anxiety medication. They can put you on a low dose and it will ease your symptoms. You do not need to suffer and everyone has a form of anxiety at some point in their life, especially in this economy where stress runs high. Depending on what company you and/or your husband work for, there is Employee Assistance Programs that allow you to go to 6-8 psychologist visits for free. Look on the back of your medical card and see if there is any information on mental health. You can call and get approved for the visits and then contact a psychologist with the approval code they give you. Dr. Chris Riddick in Lewisville is excellent! He has helped me in the past to deal with relationship issues. God bless and good luck!

Call the Minirith Clinic. You can lookup Frank Minirith on the internet as well. He has many counselor he could refer you to. I recommend Stacy Farmer for anxiety and marital issues. For your anxiety, look online at breathing techniques, and you may want medication for a bit, as you two work through the issues.
