Can anyone help me pick a cute costume for Holloween. I am due Christmas day so will have pretty good belly going come Holloween. I love dressing up but dont know what I should go as, nor have I reallyfigured out daughters (3 1/2 yr old), and the last couple of years we have dressed similar. We have been butterflies and faries, and punk rock chicks. Any suggestions? Thanks ladies, you rock!

So What Happened?

Thaks so much for all the suggestions. I thought the cheerleader one was hilarious and also loved the bellydancer. My husband wants us to do an Angel and Devil with a sign that says "the devil made me due it" so we might go with that, thanks again.

The Halloween that I was pregnant, I was a gumball machine! :)

I think I wore black sweatpants, and a red long-sleeved shirt. Then I used face paint markers to draw different colored balls (gumball size!) all over my belly! Then kept the front of my shirt folded up above my belly.

It is not really cute, but when I was prego last Halloween (and broke!) I just went to the Goodwill store and bought some scrubs. It was less than $5 and worked great! Also if you search for maternity halloween costumes, they do have some cute ones...I just did not have the $40 + dollars to spend at the time.

Depends on your sense of humor and/or demurity. Here are some ideas:

A whale & kid could be a fish
high school cheerleaders
Humpty Dumpty & king's horse
Mrs Potts & Chip (from Beauty & the Beast)
Kangaroo & Koala

Just a few ideas. Have fun.

Hi,

Not sure how you feel about your baby bump, but if you want to flaunt it, how about being a gorgeous belly-dancer-- so beautiful with a baby bump! Or, draw a cute pumpkin on your belly-- Good luck!

A couple I know did something neat last year for Halloween. He was a baker and for his wife they made a oven out of a box that she wore. You opened the door and it said bun in the oven. The husbands apron said I make buns.
It was cute. Not sure if that is the route you want to head but an idea. You could always make your daughter be a cake or some other kind of baked good along with this. :)

Or you could paint your belly into a lady bug and have your daughter be a bee or something along that line...even another ladybug.

Go as the headless horseman and paint the jack-o-lantern head on your bare belly, then pretend to hold it in your hand. lol!

Or she could be a princess and your belly could be the pea. Just paint it green and wear an all black outfit with the green belly hanging out. Wishcraft (chasingfireflies.com) has GORGEOUS princess constumes!

I like the idea of lady bugs. You could make her a red felt cape with black dots for next to nothing and get her a headband with antnae on it. You could paint your tummy, or the tummy part of a tshirt as a ladybug, then vines and leaves and flowers on the rest. Or green leggings and a green tshirt with the lady bug tummy to look like a ladybug on a vine.

this may sound terrible but i thought it was funny, only for adult parties though, i went as a nun, and my husband a preist.....for trick or treating though i suggest cutesy things like a pumpkin, blueberry, apple....womb with a veiw, a shirt that says ''future president''....maybe a kangaroo with baby in pouch

I was due around the same time and I was a pumpkin. Or more to the point, my belly was a pumpkin. I wore a bright orange shirt and decorated the belly part as a jack - o - lantern with felt cutouts. I also wore a green hat and black pants. It was very cute, I even won a prize.
Good Luck

The family could be the M&M gang, you could be the Peanut M&M. This is easy to do with either t-shirts and iron-on letters or of you are so inclined I have seen patterns for padded circles that join over the shoulder.

Have fun and all the best!

She could be a little pumpkin, and so can your belly. A pumpkin patch theme could be very cute!

I was 6 months pregnant at halloween and was an oven and my belly a bun. You know bun in the oven. I wore all black got a big box (dell computer box). I had my husband spray paint it black for me. we cut a door out of the the front and a "window to see in it. We went to the hardware store got oven knobs and put them on the top of the box. Then got a handle for the oven door. It looked great! I cut out holes for my head, and arms and had someone help me put it on. Last I went to the store and got a big kiaser bun and taped it to my belly. Everyone LOVED my costume and I even won a prize! Over all I think we spent 10 dollars on the costume. Have fun and good luck.

I guess I have a bad sense of humor, but I was due around Christmas, me and my boyfriend dressed as a priest & pregnant nun....
The party we went to had another prego who was dressed like mother earth and had her exposed belly painted with all the continents (your daughter could go as any animal or flower, season, etc etc) Good Luck & Happy Halloween!

The Great Pumpkin. A Hersheys Kiss. I don't celebrate Halloween, but I remember friends in school dressing as these. They were cute and should have plenty of room in the costume.
