Need referrals on good carpet service. I have been in school full time for the past year. Summer is here and I'm off and my house is in serious need of some deep cleaning! Carpet is yucko! Is it worth the expensive of a service or should I just rent a machine and do it myself!
I really feel like ripping it up and buying more, but thats not in the budget right now! lol

What can I do next?

Don't rent a bulky machine and get someone else's dirt...UGH...

I have Bissell ProHeat (my 2nd one) and I love it. I do it myself, don't deal with anyone coming in and anybody else's dirt.

Absolute Carpet Cleaning. Kirk Smith ###-###-####. He is the owner and does the work. He will take great care of you, I don't use or recommend anybody else.

I like using an "owner operator" cause the base of their business is on referrals so if he doesn't do a good job, his name doesn't get passed along. He has to do a good job, his livelyhood depends on it.

I have used Joy Carpet & Dry Cleaning, a family owned business in Plano, for more than ten years. I have a ton of rental property. You would be amazed at what they can accomplish. We have nearly 20 yr old off-white carpet and 4 kids under 5; we have spots from milk spills etc. and my carpet looks almost new after they clean it. good luck.

I use Chemdry in frisco. I always request Steven to clean my carpets. He has a child so he is extra good about taking care of us because he loves kids and makes sure he uses the correct kid safe chemicals for your carpets. if your interested let me know and I can get that # for you. I know most chemdry's are franchised out but I know the owners name to this one is Chris

I liked Fiber-Seal. They use hot water extraction, which is what most carpet manufacturers recommend to extend the life of the carpet, and to actually sterilize the bugs that are living there. As a breast cancer survivor, I don't need any more chemicals in my house, which is what Chem-Dry & Kiwi do. Plus, they make the carpet feel crunchy to me. Fiber-Seal also has a great protection guarantee that when you have them spray the fine mist on your carpets (or upholstery, drapery, bedspreads, etc), and a spot gets on the protected area, they will come out for a full YEAR and re-clean and re-protect that spot for FREE! It is safe to use on silk, velvet, chenille, and even expensive oriental rugs, though it does have a yucky smell until it dries. My dog promptly ate grass and threw up on my freshly cleaned & protected carpet, but my husband was able to just use our Bissell spot cleaner (hot water only), and there isn't even a slight mark. I even used one of their ph-neutral cleaning products to get red Sharpie marker off of my son's carpet! Hope that helps!
