Going Out Friday Night-husband and Me

Hey everyone
My birthday is Friday and my husband is taking me out. The last time we had an evening date was this time last year. Very sad and unwise for a marriage-I know.
So anyway, we aren't really into going to bars, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a place we could go -probably Plano - where we could just chill out. I'm thinking of something like Starbucks where we can get drinks and just sort of sit and chill. I'm sure we'll go out to eat first, but then we'd like to go somewhere afterwards.
Any ideas?
Thanks
A.

I heard great things about a restaurant named "The Keg" in west plano. It sounds like a college bar, but it was recommended to me by a very classy lady. She said they give you a free appetiser on the first time you visit. That is all I know about it. Our anniversary was this past week, and we hardly ever go out, too. I understand...

go to the little restaurant/shopping area at Legacy & tollway. it's a really fun place to go eat (lots of restaurants) and then people walk around, get ice cream, Starbucks, etc.---great date place for mommies and daddies that need time away.

Hello A.,
Well a few places that would be nice would maybe be a wine bar. I know there is one in McKinney and also one in the new Firewheel Mall. If you are opposed to drinking then maybe a hookhah coffee shop. It sound kinda wierd, i know but there is a place called Afrah on Beltline in Richardson. It has an outdoor sitting and also indoor. They serve fresh Gelato, coffee and Cappucino drinks, fresh pastries and fruit cocktail drinks(really good) as well as hookahs. It would be a nice chill spot, thats where me and my hubby go sometimes to just relax and talk. Good Luck

I was going to suggest the Shops at Legacy too. Jaspers and Nicolas both have great food and a nice atmosphere. For after dinner, you could go to Cru or the new Martini Bar or take a stroll around the little pond.

We recently had a rare evening out and went to Jasper's in The Shops at Legacy. It was AWESOME. A great date spot! We went for after-dinner drinks, but I really wish we would have eaten there - the food smelled fantastic. I heard you need reservations for a table on weekends, if you plan to eat, but for drinks only, there is ample space in the bar area. Check it out: http://www.jaspers-restaurant.com/plano/

I highly recommed Cafe de France on Preston (between Frankford and Campbell). It is a small place --nothing ritzy or glamourous but has a good atmosphere and great food. It has great breakfast and awesome crepes!
