I am searching for a part time job to help make ends meet. I am a former hairstylist and want to change fields and try something new. My kids are growing up and it's time for me to take time for me. Thanks!

Hi L.!

I'm 49 and mother of an 11 yr. old and also happily married. I worked from home with a bridal business for 9 yrs. and had a crazy schedule and not enough hours in the day. I got a big wakeup call a few yrs ago when I was diagnosed with cancer. Long story short, I listened to my body and my heart and 1st got well, re-prioritized my life and looked for something to give me balance and happiness and also make ends meet! After being ill, I realized I really needed to READ all the labels and watch what I put into my body and also what I put ONTO my body (as it's our largest organ). Chemo & radiation had really damaged my skin and I was looking for a safe solution to repair the damage and was at a cancer fundraiser and was introduced to Arbonne Int'l products. After researching them thoroughly, I discovered they were botanically based and pure, safe and beneficial with NO harmful ingredients.

I started using them and also sharing them with family/friends and fellow cancer patients that I counsel. Suddenly I realized I was without really trying building a business just from SHARING this great find. Arbonne is like the "Green" alternative to skin care and nutrition. It feels great to educate and share with others these great products and also the business opportunity...for some people an extra few hundred a month is wonderful for others it's several thousand a month. The thing I love is it's Part time, home based, and it's a great company who's had over 400% growth in the last 4 yrs. driven by the market trends of people wanting to look and feel good and age well...baby boomers...plus the movement to go Green! The thing that also attracted me is these are products we all use each and every day in our homes...products we need. It's a consumable good which means repeat business. Arbonne has been around for 27 yrs. but are really just emerging on the scene with their advancement in the anti-aging products and nutritional lines. The other factor I looked at prior to getting involved is the market saturation...since Arbonne is just blossoming, there's alot of room for opportunity and we have expanded to International Markets (Canada, Australia and the UK) and will continue to further expand which means more growth opportunity. So if you look at the business platform...it just makes sense! It's all about sharing with your networks...you never know who could use this opportunity.

L., with your background, this is a natural fit and something you're already knowledgable about. If you'd like more info and to talk to see if it is a fit for you, please contact me and I'll be happy to share info and answer any questions you have, etc. Just know you're not alone...there's a lot of us Moms out there trying our best to juggle and do it all and I really feel with Arbonne I can. With my commissions I'm not only helping make ends meet, I'm on my way to developing my own cancer foundation!

Let me know if I can be of any guidance to helping you find some direction in your journey!
All my best!

I'm a little opposite of you, as i am a working mom, wanting to stay home, but my solution may help you as well. I am a mom of two young children, 5 and 2, and with one more on the way in July. I am currently working full time as a teacher. @ 1 1/2 years ago, I decided to become a a consultant for Taste of Home Entertaining, a direct sales company which has great products for your home & kitchen needs.

There are several reasons why I decided to join this company. My main reason was that I wanted to make extra money & didn't want to start a job that would pull me away from all the things I really wanted to do- hang out with friends, holidays, etc. I was looking for an opportunity to set my own schedule, be my own boss, and have my job work around my life. Sounded impossible to me, too! But when I came across the opportunity to be part of Taste of Home, I realized that I could make it happen.

One of the biggest advantages to this company is that is is new. Most people recognize the name from the line of magazines & cookbooks that have been around for years. The Taste of Home magazine is the #1 cooking/recipe magazine for the past 25 years. The opportunity to be a part of this company is truly being able to join at the ground floor. When hosting a party, or becoming a consultant, you are usually the first among friends & family to do so, which puts you at a strong advantage for doing well with this business.

So far, it has been very easy for me & I have made great money doing this. I also feel like I have connected with other moms & women who share my same dreams and ambitions, about work & motherhood, and feel like I am getting the best of both worlds.

You can check out my website to find out more about the products, company, etc. Hope this helps!

Hi, L.!

Oh, I would love to meet you! "Time for me" is something too many people are passing up!

I am a 38 (just about to turn 39, in June)year old mother of a 13 year old and a 19 year old. I am about to be married (in August) to a wonderful man, who is a proud father of a 2 yr old and a 7 yr old.

I want to share my story with you because it sounds like you are looking for time and financial freedom, and I am telling you, it IS possible to have BOTH!

Here is my story...

I am a mother of two children, ages 13 and 19. I am engaged to a wonderful man with two children, ages 2 and 7. The 7 year old lives with us and I stay at home with her.

I spent my entire life in Corporate America, other than when my 19 year old sone was born, until he turned 2. I had to work and over the years since then, I worked my way up to a Director of Recruiting. I built an awesome career for myself, making well over 6 figures, and then I was suddenly laid off, along with my entire recruiting team that I had built, and almost 100 other employees, last November!

At the time, my fiance was a stay-at-home dad, because he had had major back surgery a year earlier and once released back to work, had a hard time finding a good job in his field. Because of my salary, we were able to have him stay home to take his daughter to school and to pick her up every day.

Within three months of my lay off, we were literally buried in late bills, and although I had been trying desperately to find another job, finding one at the salary I was accustomed to, and adding the fact that I do not have a college degree, I simply was not finding any work! Corporate America had also taken its toll on me, having traveled 90% for my Director position, I was barely ever home. The stress and being undervalued and underpaid for my efforts was ridiculous.

I was introduced to an incredible direct marketing business opportunity right before I was laid off, called MonaVie. I had actually bought the product in October and started drinking it, to help me sleep at night and ease the lower back pain I have experienced since the birth of my son. I started talking about the juice to people, as it was benefitting my health greatly, and people wanted to know where they could get some MonaVie.

Long story, short, L.,....I made the decision to NEVER go back to a corporate job because life is too short and my family and family values are too important for me to sacrifice. Plus, I know that direct marketing is the way of the future and these companies are the ONLY way for people to make the unlimited income they deserve, based on the efforts they put into it! So, if you only want to make $500. extra per month, or if you want to make an additional $5000. per month, MonaVie allows for you to do just that!

I realize that, just as there are poorly run and poorly functioning corporations out there, that there are also good and bad direct marketing companies out there. SO....I did a TON of research on MonaVie and everything checked out on top. MonaVie has the product, the timing, the management team and an awesome cause all rolled into one incredible future for those who are looking for good health and good wealth!

So....with all that said.....I'd love to chat with you on the phone and send you some info on MonaVie so at least you can be informed, and then YOU can decide if it is right for you.

I love being at home, working as much or as little as I want to, being able to travel with my fiance and our children, being at all of the school functions and softball games and conferences, without being told by my employer, that I can't go, or without feeling guilty that I am leaving work behind that will need to be tending to, eventually.

MonaVie has been the ultimate blessing for me. Maybe it will be the answer for you too.

Please email me at ____@____.com, take a look at my website at thegreatproduct.com/ourabundantlives. Look at The Product, and look at The Opportunity. I will look forward to hearing from you. I sincerely hope I can solve your dilemma and give you the opportunity to MAKE TIME FOR YOU!

God Bless!

I know the branch manager and he said they are looking for two part time people. Tellers I guess. Let me know if you are interested.

Not to long ago I asked this same question here. I got a lot of great work from home advice.

Since you are looking to change fields have you ever thought about working for your local school system as a teachers aid or assistant or even a substitute? It pays good and has great hours with the summers Off. I will be looking more into this topic this next year since both my kids will be in school. This has been reccomended to me many of times by freinds of mine that are teachers. Just a thought.

I am 27 years old with 2 children ages 2 and 4 1/2 months. I was working full time when my daughter was born and then was able to thankfully take off her first 4 months. I went back to work reluctantly because we really needed the money and I totally needed some "me time". But, once I got back into work I really wanted to find something that would allow me to spend more time with my daughter and now son too but would still make a financial contribution. I was called my a great friend and she offered me the Mary Kay business opportunity, what a great way to meet fantastic women, be in a positive environment and also make wonderful money. I hold 2-3 appoinments per week which averages about 15 hours of my time (10 of it at home working in the office). I just figured my taxes from last year and I sold almost $20,000 in product in 2007! Mary Kay is 50% profit so if you sell something that retails for 20 you profit 10. I absolutely love it and when i read your request I immediately responded to let you know how grateful I am for Mary Kay. I would love to give you some more info, even if you decide this is not something for you wouldn't you agree you at least owe it to yourself to hear about the opportunity?
