As my son is still a bit younger, I am at a loss as to what to get for my cousin's son's 11th birthday. What kinds of things are boys this age into these days? I am looking for some ideas please.

Thanks!

What about some skateboard stuff? You can get t shirts or accesories at the skateboard shops, they usually have stores like that at the malls. Or does he have an ipod? An ipod gift card is good. Or if you are totally blank on what to get him, a Walmart gift card is good too.

Boys this age are still into toys like LEGO or other construction blocks. Does he like to play video games? Maybe a gift card to a favorite video store/book store would be nice. Also, if he likes to watch movies, an AMC or equivalent gift card would be fun for a nice afternoon out with friends or parents.

possibly legos but by 11 a lot of boys are outgrowing them. Video games are huge with my boys as well as sports-they love team shirts. Other than that I don't know-it is a really tough age to buy for. Honestly you might just go with either a gift card to Gamestop or Dicks. That is what usually do.

well, both my sons were Scouts + hunted/fished with their dad....so we bought a lot of outdoor equipment thru the years.

does he own a sleeping bag? BB gun, slingshot & targets, fishing rod/reel, pocketknife (our sons learned knife safety at Scout camp - at age 8?).

at age 11, my sons were all about leaving the toys behind & becoming more worldly! They enjoyed gift certificates to bowling alleys, arcades, skate zone, & the movies. 11 was the age where they preferred the Incredible Pizza Factory over ChuckECheese's.

& sadly/actually, 11 is now considered a pre-teen. Gear your gift toward that age group...& you'll be fine!
