What can I get my friend's 11 year old son on a budget?
It's a belated Christmas gift.
It can't be expensive as I am on tight budget (read no income) as a SAHM. :)
However, I still want to give a little something. They are great friends.
I already have something for her young daughter. That was easy.
TIA

What can I do next?

I had 7 11 figure out how much 5 large slurpies were with tax and gave him that with a note of exactly what it covered. He was so happy with ability to independently go and pay for himself without begging Mom for a few bucks.

How about candy and a card? Or an itunes gift card? $5 on a gift card will buy lots of 99 cent apps!

If you have fb, look up : A Thrifty M.

even the dollar store you can find interesting stuff:
Flashlights,colorfull hot coco,: for camping
glow in the dark bracelets, books, coloring books,
some (loud,) guns that (make sparks,or have lights).

If you have a Fry's Marketplace has some toys,
board games, I was surprised to see some cool puzzles even my teenagers 16 and 17 year olds liked. :)

Go to Target or Walmart to the game section. Card games are fun:
Monopoly Deal, UNO, etc. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid book could go along with a card game. Just enclose a gift receipt so he can return it if it is a duplicate gift.

Find out if he has a Skylanders video game; if so get him a new Skylander. They are about $10 and a favorite of boys that age. If not, McDonald's gift cards are always a hit.
