My son, nearly one years old, sleeps from 6pm until 7am. At the moment he's been waking up early because he's wet. I've tried putting two diapers on with no luck.
Anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a solution?
do you use cloth diapers or disposables? Since using cloth and wool soakers, my daughter has not woken up once wet! If you're using disposables, you just have to deal with it. If using cloth, there are different "combinations" to try.
and after reading all 13 responses, I was kind of saddened that there is not one cloth diapered baby here.
We too tried doublers, but can't find any more. We now use the Walmart equate maxi pads. Saved us money and have had much success. Gp w/the smallest size than work up as needed or what can fit. If we went too large the overspill came out and not absorbed to the diaper.
Publix sell a product called Diaper Doublers. It is 30 for $3.00 in the baby section. IT is like a maxi pad that you place inside the diaper. I used them on both my girls at night and on long trips. I think they were great. Hope this helps.
Go up a size in diapers. Also Pampers are longer and huggies are wider , so depending on how your child is built you may need to switch brands. We went back and forth from one to the other with my son.
My first daughter was a champion sleeper like that too, thankfully! My solution was to put 2 diapers on her before laying her down. Then I would go into her room at some point several hours later, either before I went to bed, or if I woke up at midnight or 1 AM to use the restroom, and I would carefully just slip the diaper closest to her skin out from under the fresh one on top. This was much less disruptive for her than having to actually pick her up out of her crib and do a diaper change. She never woke up when I did it the way I described.

I agree with April. Count yourself as blessed, I couldn't get my children to bed until 8:00 pm and they still woke up at 7:00 am.

We had the same problem and I started to use the Huggies Overnight diapers in a size bigger than his regular diaper and they did the trick. Pampers makes anovernight too and I did try them but I found the Huggies ones worked better. You can get them at Target but I've had trouble finding the consistently anywhere else.

When I've had this problem with my girls I go up a size in their diapers. It has always stopped the problem. Also, start buying the 12 hour Pampers or the Overnight Huggies to use during the nights. I've found both of these to work well through the night. Good luck!
During that time in my children's lives, I had to use the Overnight Huggies diapers to prevent that problem. It was the only thing that helped me. Of course the right size too.

i've always went up a size in diapers...i have 3 boys and it has always worked great for my kids!
Try Diaper Doublers. They are made by Tyco and are sold at some Publix stores but not all. They are just a more expensive giant maxi pad without the sticky strip. They work great! I had several moms recommend them and I don't think I had a leak/wake up early morning again! (At least until potty training started!) A few of my friends wanted to save a few dollars and just used generic big maxi pads which work great too.
hi H., my son had the same problem around that time... we tried so many different diapers... but he still woke up wet. so, before we would go to bed (usually a few hours after he'd gone down), we would change his diaper while he was still sleeping. that seemed to help, but he would still be very wet in the morning. he'll grow out of it. my son is now 20 months and he wakes up wet, but not soaked!

Our daughter was doing the same thing, so we moved from a size 4 to s size 5. Worked like a charm.
You are sooo lucky to have a baby who sleeps through the night. Be thankful he is waking up just to be changed. he is getting older and becoming more aware of his body and simply finds wetness unacceptable. Just change the diaper, one at a time. You could put a hundred diapers on him. If the one closest to his skin is wet and he dislikes it, the other 99 don't matter. Change the diaper, put him back down and go back to sleep. Your son goes to sleep at 6pm, in the evening? Wow, seems early...sorry not trying to be rude. Just early. My daughter was also leaking around that age and I went up a size in diapers. Worked great!!
The goodnight's brand is the best. I think it will hold a gallon! I hope they are small enough for him. J.
When my son was little, I would just go up a size for bed time and that seemed to help. And what brand are you using?? I found huggies ran small compared to the other brands and was cut narrower in the legs which also caused leaks. If my son was a 5 in Pampers, he was a 4 in Huggies. Luvs are also made by papmers and run about the same in size.
