Getting Rid of Scratches on Floor

I've never used Orange Glo, but an excellent product we use in our rentals with hardwoods is Rejuvenate. I believe they work about the same way. You need to reapply about every 3 months to keeps your floors looking newly refinished. Home Depot carries Rejuvenate. We just finished renovating a 1940s home that we re-sold to our son and his wife. She was astounded when she applied the Rejuvenate to see how great the floors looked--like they'd just been refinished.

My old house only had wood floors. I found one product that worked wonders. It is OrangeGlo Hardwood floor refinisher. They also have a cleaner, both are great. I would first use the cleaner, then use the refinisher (it harder to find). I think I got mind at Ace Hardware or Target (I can't remember which.

We use old english and wipe it over our scratches and it works pretty good, if they're really bad maybe you should look into getting your floor refinished

If your floor is really bad, you could check into having your floor rescreened instead of refinished. It is cheaper than refinishing. It takes the finish off and recoats it but does not sand the wood down. With rescreening you are not supposed to use certain oily and waxy cleaners/products beforehand though. The finish will not go on as well.

Scratches in wood floors and the top finishes seem to be a fact of life. I think certain colors and glosses show it more than others. Higher gloss is worse than matte. Darker stains worse than lighter. Something to consider if you ever go to the trouble of refinishing them.
