Hello, after the birth of my oldest, I soon found out how fertile I was when I found I was pregnant again just 4 months later. So now I have 2 girls, both birthdays are coming up, I'll have a 3 and a 4 yo. So after my second I immediately got the depo shot, then 4 months later Mirena, I had it for about 2 years or so, I got it removed in March. My OB told me to wait till after my periods were normal, which I did, we used condoms for about 2 1/2 months. In June, we started trying for #3. but no luck. In July my period only lasted one day..(I wasn't compaining) and then this month I was about a week late, so we were kind if excited, then all of a sudden... Well let's say I an currently bleeding (tmi sorry). My husband was disappointed, his birthday is Sunday and he told me, I thought you were gonna tell me you had a real good present for me. So, I'm not in a rush, but when you are looking forward to something, you kind of want it now. But I know it will cone in time. My question is, after Mirena or any BC.. How ling did it take you? I googled it and seen some women were prego right away, some it took years.. Just curious?

What can I do next?

Took Depo Provera for 4 years and I couldn't get pregnant for 10 years after that (I also have endometriosis). Took depo one time after birth of daughter in August got pregnant in June-- first month we tried. You might try an ovulation kit, it can help speed along the right timing. Good luck!

2 1/2 weeks. I must be fertile myrtle. I got pregnant with my oldest (now 8) while on the pill for 6 years. 3 years ago we decided to try for a sibling. I was on nuva ring at the time, took it out to begin trying. My OBGYN told me to not be disappointed because it might take me 6 mos to a year to concieve. I was pregnant 2 1/2 weeks later!

I was on the nuva ring after our first. The DAY I was supposed to put the new one in, but decided not to because we got married that day and were going to start trying, I conceived. Literally, that day. So...immediately, for me.

Now I'm on the shot and I know it will take longer when we decide to have another.

I was on lorestin24(i think thats how u spell it) for 14 months, I think.Got off of it and became pregnant a month later(if i remember correctly) My periods on birth control was kinda messed up. Their were months were I didn't have a period for 2 in a half months and I kept taking pregnacy tests and it came back negative. I called my dr. and told me it was normol b/c of the birth control pills.A month before I got off the birth control, I started back taking vitamins to get my nurtients and so on,to become healthy again. I wouldn't stress it.... Just have fun and don't worried about getting pregnant. It will happened. Every women is different. I didn't think I was going to get pregnant a month later after getting off the pill. I always heard women say it took them months to a year to become pregnant. So I guess every woman is different and their bodies. Just have fun and don't stress it. ;)
Best wishes!!

Some if it might depend on your age too. I was a little like you in that I had 2 very easy, got prego the 1st month we tried for baby 1, then baby 2 was a surprise after I stopped nursing andw as getting ready to get back on birth control. Then hubby was sent overseas with the military before we were able to try for #3. 2 years of active duty and a move to another state later, we started trying and it took about a year. My friend gave me a TERRIFFIC book to read called Taking Charge of your Fertility. I think EVERY woman should read it! Anyway, it helps you figure out when you are fertile since it can vary soooo much depending on other factors going on in your life. Once I started understanding my cycle, and charting my temps, I think I got pregnant within 3-6 months. I hope this helps!

It took me about a month and a half after stopping the pill to get pregnant. I tracked my CM which worked really well for us. Good Luck!

I was on the pill for years. My OB said it could take up to six months after stopping the pill for the hormones to get out of your system. I used ovulation predictor strips while TTC. After six months, I finally got a very obvious positive result and the next month I was telling my husband we're pregnant.

Good luck to you.

After I got off of the pill it took took two months then I had a miscarriage. After that,it took five months and now I have my son. I would relax and have fun, It will happen when it is time. Make sure you are working out regularly and taking some prenatal vitamins, cutting out caffiene. You could also buy an ovulation predictor kit. If you stress yourself it will take longer to get pregnant. Have fun. It will happen before you know it.

When I stopped taking my birth control pill, it took me 8 months to get pregnant. The first 5 months my periods were all over the place not regular at all - I would be late, a home pregnancy test would be negative, and then my period would come the next day. Then for 3 months they were like clockwork and I finally got pregnant. I was 34 at the time.

The pattern I noticed was it seemed to take about as long to get pregnant again as they had used the BC. I had a mirena for about a year and a half and it took us about that long to conceive again. A friend had hers for 3 months and she got pregnant within just a couple months. I doubt this is for everyone, what is?, but it might help you relax about it:). Relaxing always helps in these things, lol!

Age has a lot to do with it. I'm in my mid 30's so when I stopped BC it took me a good 9 months to get pregnant. My periods were very unpredictable. Charting and using ovulation sticks really helped.

I was on Yazmin for many years. I got off it in April and concieved in June. We just had sex when I knew I was ovulating. I think it has less to do with the contraception and more to do with age and stress levels. I was 31 at the time.
