hey S.,
you need to know when you are ovulating..usually about 7-10 immediately after your period...and you should ovulate for about 3 days so try planning that way...also ask your doctor....I have 3 chidren 12, 3 and 17 months...
good luck.I am also a SAHM....

I WAS TOLD TO "DO IT " ON DAYS 10,12,14,16,18,20,AND 22 AFTER YOUR 1ST DAY OF YOUR CYCLE.. THERE IS NO MISSING OVULATION THAT WAY, PLUS YOUR HUBBY WILL LOVE IT.. IF YOU START ON LIKE THE 1STFOR EX. START AT DAY 8 AND DO IT EVERY OTHER DAY UNTIL YOU GET TO 22.. HAVE FUN!!!

There are several ovulation kits out there that may help you. My husband and I used www.cyclespage.com to track my cycles and to see when I would be most fertile. This worked for us the first time we tried to get pregnant.

Other than that, the best advice I can give is to not stress over getting pregnant. That can make it harder for you to conceive. Good luck!

Hi S.,

Are you overweight?

I had trouble getting pregnant with my youngest. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome, I have very spuratic and irregular periods, and at that time were having no periods at all. Also, was overweight. My doctor recomended I lose weight and I'm telling you as soon as that weight fell off, I was pregnant. Actually, since I wasn't having periods, I was 4 months pregnant before I knew it. But for me, losing the weight did the trick. I lost 25 pounds over a 3 month time frame. So if this is an issue for you, maybe exercising and eating better will help you lose the weight, and not to mention, be healthier anyways.

Good Luck.

HI S., MY NAME IS A. AND I HAVE 3 CHILDREN OF MY OWN. WE HAD NO PROBLEMS GETTING PREGNANT-QUIT THE OPPOSIT. I DO KNOW THAT THERE ARE SO MANY WOMEN OUT THERE WHO WANT CHILDREN AND CAN'T. PRAYING ABOUT THE SOLUTION IS THE BEST IDEA. I MYSELF HAVE BEEN WONDERING ABOUT BECOMING A SURROGATE MOTHER AND PRAYING REALLY HARD ABOUT IT. I KNOW WHAT A BLESSING MY CHILDREN ARE TO ME AND I WOULD WANT ANY WORTHY PARENTS TO ENJOY THE SAME THING. I WILL PRAY FOR YOU AND HUBBY!!!!

Hi S.,
Go get yourself this book today: Taking charge of your fertility : the definitive guide to natural birth control, pregnancy achievement, and reproductive health by Toni Weschler. Don't just borrow it from the library - go out and buy it. It will be the best resource for you.
I am allergic to almost all forms of birth control (the pill, latex, and spermicides.) I used this book successfully for 7 years to keep from getting pregnant when we didn't want to. Then, when we decided to try to get pregnant, I used the methods in this book again, & we got pregnant in 5 months. The second time, we also got pregnant in 5 months. 5 months was actually a very short time for us, considering I was 36 & 39 years old and I only saw my husband for 2 days each week (he worked out of town.)
I can't say enough good things about this book!!!! Read it from cover to cover & keep it by your bedside. Follow the directions she gives & be consistent with it.
Good luck to you!

I know this is going to sound crazy but i had been trying to get pregnant for about 11 months and I was so distrought and a neighbor of my cousin was at her house and told me to go to cvs and get the cough syrup tussin not robatussin but just plain tussin. Take it the week that you ovulate a tablespoon before you go to bed. do this for 7 days and stop a week then take it for 7 days again. Believe it or not the month that i tried this the next month i was pregnant. I asked my doctor about it when i became pregnant and he said that it makes your uterus sticky so (things) can stick to it. I know this sounds really silly but it worked for me hope it works for you also.

Hi S.,

I am a woman who has lost 10 children and have one 5 year old. I have gone through 8 fertility experts and have made a study of trying to get pregnant over an 18 year period. The rule of thumb is if you have tried for over a year on your own and not gotten pregnant, then you see your gynecologist. He/She will run a lot of test over a period of time to see if there are any problems that can be helped with medication.
If you haven't given it a year, try this, every morning before you get out of bed, take your temperature. Chart it for a month start on the first day of your period. Chart it for a second month chart that. Note where your temperature goes up in the middle of the month. Those days are mostly likely the days you are ovulating. It is usualy the 12-18 day of your cycle. The first day of your period is the first day of your cycle. Note any type of twinges or pain on either of your sides, low down on either side. That COULD be an indication you are ovulating. Keep in mind that you will only ovulate one day a month, usually sometime within that 12th to 18th day. Pair that up with the rise in temperature and that is a good indication of ovulation. You may or may not feel anything on your sides so don't be dissappointed if you don't feel it. I have the pain every month and it is even easier now because I only have one ovary now on my left side. The egg will only live 24 hours, it is best to try to conceive within the first 12 as that is when the egg is strongest. If you have any questionsthat I may be able to help you with, you can email me at ____@____.com luck.
