Can anyone tell me some fun things to do with kids??? Not just the normal park thing but actually taking them somewhere fun. We had a few ideas (Sac. Kids Museum, SF Academy of Science, Exploratorium). I need some help finding places. Doesn't have to be in the Sac area. Anyone know of fun places??? Or fun things to do or see???
Folsom Zoo, Monterey Bay Aquarium. Lake Tahoe. Caverns in Calaveras County. Walk the streets and see the sights in a small town in the foothills. Folsom Lake, bike trail, tennis, disc golf, railroad museum, old Sac. Sorry for the bad punctuation, typing on smartphone.
Geocashing, fishing at a pond, ice cream at a small traditional downtown, small town festivals, hiking, bike rides, state parks
Google for things to do as a tourist in your area. And then do some of them.
The Nut Tree has a small amusement park and there is a place there that does tea parties if you have girls.
Scandia is also fun.
Lawrence Hall of Science is also a huge hit with the kids. It's all interactive so they really have fun!
Do you ever watch the Groupon site? They have local deals for things in the specified area. I have found a lot of local things to do (indoor rock climbing, apple orchard visit, lazer tag and paintball outings) and I get a deal to boot. They have daily deals so if today's deal isn't something for you-just watch for the next days deal.
