I am looking to see what some of you like to play as far as card games or really any game that four adults can play. It has been so long since I have played games with this amount of people that I am at a loss as what do play. Any games will be appreciated!

A game my family plays is called Hand and Foot. It's a rummy game, using partners, and we love it enough to have played it en masse at family reunions. Rules are not easy to find, perhaps because "hand and foot" may not be the original name for it. My sister and her husband learned it in Yuma while snowbirding, and came back and taught the family. Let me know if you can't find rules -- I'll see what I can do to write some down. Enjoy!!

We really enjoy playing Skip-Bo and Phase 10 in my house. Both games can be found at Wal-mart for under $5. Then of course there is Rummy, Hearts, Spades, Ecre (sp) and such.

Pinochle is perfect to play with 4 people. You can play as singles or play as 2 teams with partners. If you've never played it, it is easier to learn if you play the first few times with other people who know how to play.

Progressive rummy is fun. It's something you could look up, too, for directions. My sister and I played it for years, and it's best with three decks of cards and at least three players (four players is ideal, I think).

Liverpool Rummy, Hand and Foot, and Pinochle. The first two consist of runs and sets that are common in rummy games, the last requires thought and stratgy and is my favorite. I have been playing liverpool and pinochle for 34 years (since I was 6 or so) and hand and foot for the last 10 years. I only have ever played single deck pinochle but have heard the double deck is fun too. My mother in law is a bridge player and that is good for 4 people. Oh and partner cribbage is fun too.

My husband and our friend and I love to play Tripoly. It is a mixture of rummy and poker.

My all time favorite card game is called Cannasta - also very similar to "hand and foot" mentioned below. You will need 4 decks regular poker cards to start with for four people to play with. I'm sure you can get the rules off of the internet. My best friend and I learned from this old man we used to visit and we would play for hours. Some of the best times and good memories. Another card game is Rummy, Pinocle, War, and Spades. Other games that you can buy is Phase Ten that comes to mind - I really liked that game. Good luck - I hope that this helps.

we really like playing Apples to Apples - great fun, and adaptable for various ages...not specifically a card game, but fun. There is also a good game called Word Thief. You can get a book with card games - variations of rummy and stuff, if you like basic cards.

Hands down, no-doubt-about-it, best card game for 4 adults is EUCHRE! It helps if at least one player is already familiar with the game, but you can google it for websites explaining how to play. All you need is a deck of cards.

(I come from a very long euchre-playing family, if you can't tell. Very many pleasant memories from my childhood.) Actually, my family plays a lot of different card games, but Euchre tops them all, especially for four players.

I love the traditional "hearts". I just learned it and found it was pretty easy and fun!
