I'm expecting a baby in July. Does anyone know of good websites where you can sign up for free samples of baby items?? Thank you!

What can I do next?

Similac and Enfamil both have mailing lists you can get onto that will send you samples and coupons. Maternity stores like Motherhood Maternity also has something similar. What I found is that once I signed up for one thing, my name/address was sold and pretty soon I got a whole bunch of stuff in the mail. I would peruse web sites of popular baby brands (Pampers, Johnson & Johnson, Gerber, etc.) and see if they offer similar things.

I'm not sure what all you are looking for, but you may want to check out craigslist.com and ebay for clothes and baby gear. You can find lots of bargains there. Don't forget about yard sales!

My pediatrician gave me a lot of free 'samples' of formula... if you are planning or even down the road use formula ask the pediatrician for samples. I ended up using a different brand then the doc's office supplied so I stop asking for samples. The hospital did give me a free 'diaper bag' with cans of formula in it... I was breastfeeding at that time but switched over a few months later because my daughter was lactose intolerant.

I also got a lot of free baby shampoo from the pediatrician which after 2 years I am still trying to use up.

I am not sure about free diapers, hope someone else can give you advice there.

Here are a few websites you might want to check out... not sure if they are all completely 'free' so don't give personal info until you feel safe with the site.

Hopefully some of the other moms will say one of these sites they have used and liked.

There is a website completely dedicated to people who have things they no longer need and are giving them away for free. You can ask for anything under the sun you need or are looking for. It's a yahoo group called Freecycle. You can find the local one closest to you after signing up. You can get anything from baby clothes, un-opened cans of formula, cart parts, groceries sometimes, art supplies, to puppies, cats and fish.

If you're looking for something you can't afford, or are going through a difficult time, this website is great. It's helped me tremendously!

There are a couple of sights that I have visited. I'm all about getting things for free. Several Parenting magazines have links however the one that I find helpful in many areas is: www.thunderfap.com
Good Luck.

if you will be formula feeding make sure to sign up at the simalac website...you will get a coupon to take to the hospital or doctors office for a really cool diaper bag with samples of formula. also, they normally send you a free can right before you are due and tons a coupons throughout the year. i would also try pampers.com...while they rarely sent anything free, they always sent coupons which were awesome. always ask your doctor for free stuff too when you go to your appts...they sometimes have bottles, baby lotion, baby soap, diaper rash cream etc...
