Does anyone know how to get access to free foreclosure listings? We are not ready to consult a realtor as of yet, so I would like information on how to do this on my own.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Want to move to AZ? Our house is getting ready to foreclose. It's a long process though.....

I think a Realtor can send you a link with foreclosures. On Yahoo, they have homes for sale and they have it to where you can choose to look at foreclosed homes.

Good luck on buying your home. :-)

You should be able to do it by googling "bank foreclosures in Frisco, TX".

If you use the site Trulia dot com, you can select 'foreclosures' in your search. The problem is you won't usually get any pics for the home or any detailed info, not even an exact address. It's usually a birdseye pic in the general vacinity of the neighborhood. Sometimes you can decipher this and find the home. Good luck

Most foreclosures are now listed with the regular homes (at least where I am). They are usually listed as "Bank Owned" (you can tell by the price, it is a lot lower then normal). When you are ready to buy you will need to be pre-approved for a mortgage and/or have proof of funds including the down payment.
My home was a foreclosure. We were lucky there wasn't major damage to the house, it was a short term rental before us. Just be sure to have an inspection done, most of the time they are sold "as is". But some banks will work with you if there is a major problem.

Just call any Realtor and ask for a list of foreclosures in the market area you like. If they say no, then move on to the next - you'll figure out who appreciates new business and who's too busy to give you great service.

A short sale is not a foreclosure. They are two separate types of sales. A short sale is used to try to prevent foreclosure. I'm not sure why you're reluctant to meet with a realtor. You don't pay them unless you actually buy a house, so use their expertise! Sorry I don't know how to find foreclosures on your own.

Look up by county. I live in Johnson County, so I would google "johnson county kansas home foreclosures" . Sometimes it will not give you the full info, or the address even. Good luck!

Just check with the Public Trustee, it is public info. Here in Denver, we can go online and search Foreclosures. Unfortunately, most of them are out-purchased by the bank that is foreclosing.

Good luck!

Just go to realtor.com. If you see a short sale you will know that it is a foreclosure. Also, williamsauction.com handles foreclosures.

We need to move and there is no way we will be able to sell our house.

Good luck!!!!
