I would not recomend a curling iron. That has accident written all over it. I think if you just put it in some foam curlers or soft curlers and leave it overnight you should have a beautiful head of curls. Make sure her hair is wet when you put it in the curlers. They have some really cool ones that look like rods. They don't look like they would be uncomfortable for sleeping. You can get them at Wal Mart in the curler section. If that is not an option you can always get one of those cute ponytail things and put her hair up with that. Another option would be to french braid on both sides and put some baby's breath in the braid. Or just make a ring of flowers and place that on top of her head with her hair down. Simple is definitely better. She will look so beautiful in her dress that no one will notice if you don't fuss with her hair. Plus she will look more natural.

Hi B.~as a professional hairstylist and mother...please don't let someone near your 18 month old daughter with a curling iron! I have seen to many burns in my life time! Curling irons get hotter than most people think. At 18 months your daughter will not be able to keep still and why take a chance of scaring that beautiful face! Also that fine hair will not stay curled with an iron. May I suggest pulling it up in a pony or pigtails, dampen them set them on foam roller or perm rods and leave them in until dry. Claires boutique also has really cute hair things for little ones.

I don't know of any websites but just a simple style with little Baby's Breath will come out nicely. Just pull a little back from her face with a barrette that will fit and then put in a little Baby's Breath at the clip.

I don't know if you have a Snip It's by you but, you can go on their website and look. It is a place that cuts and styles just children's hair. as long as she understands not to reach up and touch the iron it will be ok to use a curling iron on her. use the low heat setting on the iron and use a light hold hairspray on her. cover her face before you spray the curls. preferably something by biolage or paul mitchell. just do ringlets all over i.e. shirley temple. find someone who is really good and very patient with children. if she doesnt want to sit still i would suggest putting it up in a ponytail with a pretty bow and putting a single curl in it.
