There is a song by Mary Chapin Carpenter. I think it is called Grow Old with Me.

We just posted a "first dance" to our blog somethingblueinc.blogspot.com (we are videographers). So there is one idea. The couple there did a funny first dance. Some people will mix 30 seconds of a nice slow song with 30 seconds of a fast/funny song and then wrap it up with a slow song. You've been given some good suggestions already. I'll add that you can search for some ideas on youtube. A lot of people post their first dances on there.
Congratulations and best of luck with your wedding plans!

there are lots of great songs out there. my hubby and i danced to "unchained melody", our friends had "at last" by etta james, "i will be here" by steven curtis chapman, "from this moment" by shania twain, "it's your love" by faith hill and tim mcgraw, "lost in this moment" by big and rich, etc. go lime wire or i-tunes and do a search for loves songs or wedding songs and see what turns up. the most important thing is that whatever you pick has a special meaning for you and you soon to be hubby.

Of course my favorite is the one my husband and I used. We were sitting at our friend's bar trying to come up with the perfect song, and the band happened to pay it. We went to the music store that night and got the CD. Listen to "Shining Star" by the Manhattans. I love it for the words and the fact that it has a bit of a beat. Its not to gushy and slow.

Another favorite is "Let's stay together" by Al Green.

Good luck!
