Finding an Ob in Sugar Land Area

I'm about 21 weeks pregnant. I haven't seen a doctor yet. I am scheduled to see one Sept. 7th. That is pretty far off. I was spotting a week ago. I am kind of nervous. I won't have insurance for another 3 weeks. I have called all the ob/gyns I can think of, midwives, and a few hospitals. Does anyone have any advice on where I should go to get checked out.
Thanks for any advice!

Try my ob. She is really practical and has a great bedside manor. She has a small practice. She is at Methodist Sugar Land professional building right next to the hospital. I am sure she will work with you on insurance.

I have a great ob. She could not be kinder. She saw a neighbor of mine a couple of years ago, under the same condition as yours - she saw her the same day she called. Her name is Dr. Damla Dryden. She is at St. Luke's in the med center, and specializes in high risk patients. If you cannot get an immediate appointment, ask to speak w/ her nurse and she should get you in. They are all very kind there. Dr. Dryden is my son's angel. She saved his life in delivery. I could not recommened any doctor more highly, and I am very picky. Her number is ###-###-####, remember to ask for the nurse to get in to see her

RC,
If you haven't seen a dr for this pregnancy, you need to get in immediately, there are tests that you are missing out on. Also, the farther you wait, the harder it will be to get in w/a physician. The first visit is the most expensive, but well worth it for you and your newborn.

If you start spotting again before your appointment go to the emergency room immediately! Once you get insurance, you can pretty much go to any dr you want as lond as he/she takes your insurance. I moved to the Houston area a little over a year ago. I moved down here not knowing anyone or anything about Houston. Soon after I meved down here I found out I was pregnant. I was working in the CyFair area so I was seeing a dr that I worked with. That didn't work out so good, so I switched dr's. I Found a great dr at Memorial Herman @ Memorial City. Her name is:
Kristin shmidt, MD
915 Gessner Rd, Suite 300
Houston, Texas 77027-2528

I know Mem. City is a good drive from Surgar Land, but she is a really great dr. I live close to Surgar Land myself and it was well worth the drive.
