I totally agree, Dr. Susan Mendelsohn is fabulous! She's been my OB for 12 years. I'm the only woman I know who actually looks forward to my annual visits just to chat with my doc. =)

Look up: Orange County Women's Medical Group. They are in Laguna Hills.

I love Dr. Audell but all of them are fantastic!

third recommendation for OCWMG and second for Dr. Audell. Loved her - great experience with her, the office staff, hospital (Saddleback) and postpartum. I had a planned c-section but I hear they are great for L&D too.

I have 5 friends who have used various docs at ocwmg and everyone is really happy.

Beach Cities Midwifery in Laguna Hills. ###-###-####. BJ Snell is amazing! She delivered one of my four children and it was by far the best birth experience. I have recommended other moms to her and they have all been extremely happy with their experiences too. Good luck!

I second OCWMG. Their offices are in a building that's attached to Saddleback Hospital (convenient if you are preggo). Their insurance/billing department does a great job cutting through administrative red tape with insurance companies, too.

Dr. Mendelsohn is my OB/GYN and I love her down-to-earth, no BS approach. The RNs and NPs are wonderful, too.

The only thing I don't like -- parking can be a pain.

Update: I delivered my baby in March 2011. Dr. Mendelsohn was great for prenatal care. When it came time to deliver, she was off for the weekend, so I was in Dr. Hahn's and Dr. May's very capable care. They were both fantastic. Dr. May was the delivering doc, and he is male, but if I ever was going to have a male OB/GYN, he would be my choice -- he was fantastic leading up to and during the delivery and had a great sense of humor.
