I am seeking your feedback on services delivered by Tile and Marble Clearninghouse in Lewisville Texas. I would also value any feedback on Daneya Wiseman the owner and lead salesperson. Strongly considering major home upgrades. Experiences within the last 24 months are especially valuable.

We used them about 18 months ago to install our counter tops. Overall, we are happy with them but I did have a few issues. They were not very clear with the overall process. We didn't know we were supposed to go pick out our slab until the warehouse told us we were late to an appointment. When they installed the counter tops and the backsplash they were going to put tile on top of wallpaper but I caught it and had them remove the wallpaper. I can just imaging removing the wallpaper and having part of my backsplash come with it. They didn't do a great job of finishing out things i.e. they never anchored the dishwasher down. To this day I can just pull it out. There are also placed under the counter where a piece of molding came off that they never replaced. None of it is really that big of a deal but it is annoying. We mentioned these things to them and they said they didn't want to come out and fix them, that it was not really part of what they do.

We worked with Daneya (I would not have been able to tell you her name but I assume we are talking about the same person) to put the bid together. She was very nice and seems to understand her business but her overall business sense is not well developed. I think their price was fair and I think the owners want to do the right thing but overall I think there are things they could do to improve the customer experience. I would consider using them again but only if I were able to supervise the project in my home.

I'm not familiar with the company you're inquiring. However,I work for Seconds & Surplus (www.secondsandsurplus.com). We carry hardwood and laminate flooring, granite & tile, cabinets, doors, plumbing fixtures, etc. There are several local installers that we recommend to our customers, depending on the customer's projects.
Feel free to contact me if you would like a quote to compare prices.

WE LOVE THE NEW LOOK!!!! We had Go Granite redo our kitchen and 1/2 bath and love our new kitchen. I wanted the granite to match my exisitng tile and cabinets so I had Daneya pick out the colors. They did a wonderful job and we get lots of positive feedback from friends about the work. I am planning on having them do my floors and update boys bathroom with granite. It was a small investment, but will definetly pay off if we decide to sale the house. Thanks for everything Daneya!

My husband and I used them about 2 yrs ago to replace our countertops in our kitchen. I would not recommend them. Their prices are cheap and so is everything else. We had a horrible time getting things scheduled, her office help at the time was horrible with scheduling, we could not get phone calls returned, etc.......all in all it was just a nightmare day after day. From the time we picked out our granite to actual install, it was about 6wks and we only had our kitchen redone. I couldn't imagine how much longer it would have been had we used them for our bathrooms.

I do not know anything about this company, but I just want to warn you to NOT do business with HDS Stoneworks, which advertises low prices for granite. We got countertops there and the granite itself was beautiful, but the fabrication (measuing, cutting, and installation) as well as the customer service was horrible. I am telling you this because they are not too far from Lewisville--in Carrollton off of 35E just south of George Bush.

We also live in Lewisville, and just went through the whole flooring thing... in fact, the carpet was installed just yesterday. Due to a plumbing flood, we had to replace all our flooring, including tile, carpet, and wood. We did look at the Clearinghouse you mentioned, as well as many other places. What I found was that I was lied to and told all kinds of things to make me purchase their product. I was so disapointed and discouraged, dealing with so many of these people- just as bad as the typical "used car salesman" tactics. Finally, through a recommendation, we came into contact with Geoff Brown, owner of All Pro Floors. He is an honest and trustworthy man who gave us high quality products at the absolute lowest prices we could find. He does all kinds of floors, and is in the process of opening his own flooring show room. I was very impressed with his installation team as well.
