My dd is turning 3. What are some favor ideas for the guests that don't include the standard jewellry/kiddle make-up? Thanks!

EDIT: She and most of her friends already owm tutus. The studio birthday part package includes the use of tutus/tiaras during the party.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I bought big packages of play-doh, child size rolling pins, and a box of cookie cutters and split them up to create favor bags.

I love these, but have a son so I'm happy to pass the idea along to you for Angelina Ballerina Tutu Treats, a cute favor on it's own:

I would fill them with candies, small bottles of bubbles, and stickers.

I always disliked the standard goody bag stuffs. I always hit the clearance racks or used the great 40% off coupons form the local JoAnn Fabrics and would enlist my creative Momma's help for making things related to the party theme when my dd was young.

For a ballerina party I would try to get some tulle fabric cheap as I could...and some wide elastic remnants...sequined or plain..whatever was cheap (but see for me this would have been happening for 6 months before..CHEAP would be my objective along with cute!) Together we would have made super simple elastic waisted ballerina skirts...so more of a prop then a goody bag thing?

Mine had a horse party/cowgirl shindig for her 4th party. Mom and I made super simple (3 pices of fake leather stuff...no trimming needed..jsut cut and sew the shoulders and sides) Cowboy/girl vests...bought bandanas and hats at the party store along with sheriff badges. The hats doulbed as a place to hold treats from a small pinata we did later...everyone left happy! I saw some of the kids on a very regular basis (lived on our street)...and they wore those hats and vests alot that summer for playing dress up and games! I loved seeing them get so much use out of it all! It was a Cowgirl summer on our block!

Good luck!

Make some cute sparkle wands out of craft dowels (sp), foam, glitter stickers and ribbons. How about the simple tutorial tutus?

I would buy anglina ballerina or Barbie Ballerina themed story books. The kind you can get at walmart or the grocery stores for under $5 each girls gets a book.

by the Way Grandmarocks, I LOVE those cute tutu treat holders. adorable. thanks for the link.

since you're in Houston, Arnies over by Shepard and I-10 would be the place I would look!!! Can't remember the name of the street it's on, but they've been there at least 30 years!! HUGE selection!!

i love this site. it has tons of ideas for partys and favors. i like the cookie in the above link. its something they can eat and enjoy. and hopefuly mom wont throw it out. . . as i find most parents do with toys. how about sidewalk chalk or bubbles. a ballet book. or even a little jewerly box. i know you said jewellrey but the little box would be cute. or a little gym bag with some pj's or ballett socks??? good luck.
