We are looking into going to Myrtle Beach in early August. We've never been there before. Anyone have any suggestions on places to stay? We are looking for family friendly places. Kids are 6,7,and 12. Thanks for your help.

Where ever you decide, do it quickly because sometimes it is hard to get a place in August.

I'd check out tripadvisor.com. Full of lots of good info. We used to vacation there when I was younger and loved it. Have fun!

We prefer North Mytrle beach for a family atmosphere because it's a little quieter (not quiet by any means, but not crazy). We've stayed at Shore Crest Villas, because it's a small suite with a kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms.

But - might be hard to find a place that's not already booked for this coming August - I hope you are talking about August 2014?
