Facial Cleansers

Hi Moms!

I am looking to switch the facial cleansing system that I use, but I do not know what would be good to try. I have used ProActiv for the past 7 years. I want to try something new because over the last 4 years my skin has begun to look significantly more aged...this could be due to the fact that I am 30, but I am holding out hope that it may be the skin care system! Ha Ha! :)

What would you recommend for someone who has skin sensitivity or breaks out easily? Also, I am trying to be more kind to our budget so I am looking to go cheaper if possible. I have heard that Arbonne is good, but of course it is WAY too pricey! Any good quality and fair priced suggestions? Thanks for your help!

What can I do next?

Hi,

I just wanted to respond to your request about cleansers. I know you have heard that Arbonne is too expensive but has anyone told you about signing up to get the 35% discount? I am an Independent Consultant with Arbonne and these products gave great results for me. The Clear Advantage set is for acne skin and the Intelligence Set is a great basic set and both are reasonably priced. If you would like to try a sample of the Intelligence set I can send that to you to try. I do not have a sample of the Clear Advantage but I can give you pricing information and we have a 45 day guarantee on all of our products. I think if you give it a try you will see the difference in Arbonne products in the results that they give you. Our products are formulated in Switzerland and made in the USA to be pure, safe and beneficial - made from herbs and botanicals. I can go on and on about products and results but your best bet would be to try them.

I use and sell BeautiControl. I use the sensitive skin line. It feels good, doesn't dry me out and keeps my face clear. I use the day time Cell Block C with spf 20 as my moiturizer and the nighttime Cell Block C for night moiturizer. I love it. I only sell to friends and family, and a few others, it's not my business just extra income.

If you're interested send me a pm and I can come over (if you're in the area) and let you try it out.

For cleaning my face at night after I remove my makeup, I use Aveeno foam cleanser. It is gentle on the skin and they make a type that helps prevent breakouts. You can purchase it at any drug store or grocery store. I use their eye cream, too. I save my money for my expensive moisturizer and makeup.

I am a woman in my 50s and have battled my skin my whole life. I can not get it clean and I have big pores and white heads. About a year ago I started on a cleanser from AVON called (I believe) Thermal Care Cleanser. It is in a tube and when wet, it turns warm and melts microbeads to cleanse the skin. It is the first thing I have found that really cleans my skin. I can use a toner afterwards to make sure my skin is clean and I don't get any dirt off my face! I don't have to worry about putting make up on over a dirty face. It is on sale every few weeks for $5.00. I know AVON has also come out with a 3 step regimine but I have not tried it yet. It is dermatologist tested and the 3 step treatment is $34.00. If you are interested you can go on-line at "youravon.com/dorotheataylor", or, email Dorothea at ____@____.com her T. sent you. Dorothea serves Denton and all of the surrounding area. AVON also puts out products by age group, special needs, and a natural line of skin care.

I am an independent distributor and of course, I think my products are the best. But I would encourage you to check out Shaklee products. They are 100% guaranteed. The price is higher than the bargain products, but Shaklee has many things going for it. The products last a long time because you only use a little, the products are non-toxic (have you ever looked at what is in the products that are out there?) and they really work. If you are interested check out my web site www.shaklee.net/betsy_snethen.

Hello,
When my son had skin problems in his late teens the dermatologist recommended Olay skin cleanser for sensative skin or Cetaphil. He said they both clean the skin well and he also said not to use washcloths because they will break open the blemishes and spread the bacteria, which will then cause more blemishes. He had my son wash twice a day (along with some prescribed medicines) and it took care of his problems and he continues to this day washing his face with Olay. I use Olay and have for about 10 years and am very happy with it. It only costs about $3.99 at Target or Walmart and removes my makeup and is gentle on my skin. I also use their moisturizer as well and have been pleased with the product as well as the price.

I use Cetaphil daily facial cleanser, the one for normal to oily skin. My dermatologist recommended it to me years ago for my sensitivie skin (I also break out easy), and I've been using it ever since. It's not too expensive either - a bottle lasts forever because you only need a tiny amount.
