Ever Been to an Indoor Playground/Air Bounce Facility?

Hi,
Just wondering about indoor playgrounds. I hate going to Chuckie Cheese....Anyone else been to It's Party Time on Watson or Monkey Joe's near Crestwood Mall? What was your experience there? Safe? Haggled by other children for money? (That's why I hate Chuckie Cheese - too far and kids come by and steal your coins even while you are sitting there. Where are the parents???) Did the kids have fun? I'm looking for things to do as soon as school is out - do any of these places have mom group days or something? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Monkey Joes is pretty fun. It used to be that adults could do all the slides and stuff too, but they stopped that. It's like $5 or $6 I think. The price varies by age of chil and day of the week. It is crazy busy on Friday nights and on the weekends. Weekday mornings are pretty good. The only thing is, I've noticed after every trip the kids seem to come down with a cold or something (all those germs on everything). They have food and drinks you buy there.

I've been to Monkey Joe's. I thought it was pretty fun, but it depends on the age of your kids. It's a really big place, so if you're kids are young, you need hang around nearby to keep track of them. I had a little trouble because I have a 5 yr old and a 1 yr old. The 5 year old is big enough to do everything, but still young enough to need some supervision. But the 1 yr old is too young to go on the bigger things, so I had a little trouble keeping everyone happy. That being said though, they have a great smaller jump area for very little kids. They have a comfortable seating area with internet for parents, some reasonably priced snacks and the place seems really clean. I think it's fun and pretty reasonably priced.

I like Party Time- I've gone a few times and it never seems too crowded. The owner and his daughters are very nice and friendly. It's much smaller than Monkey Joe's, but I like that about it.

I think Money Joe's is too crowded, I lose track of my kids, and the older kids get out of control. My son even got elbowed in the mouth and had a loose tooth that became discolored (but now it actually looks ok and tightened itself back up)I would add that i went to Money Joe's on a Saturday, for a party and it was so crowded. But it's busy, too, on a weekday, good for business, but just not my style.

If you want games you could go to Happy Joe's on Watson.
No bouncy thing there, but a cheap lunch and good for a rainy day. The games give tickets like Chucky Cheese, so the kids can redeem for "prizes". It's a very small place, though, and been around for years and years.

We had my daughter's 3rd birthday at It's Party Time on Watson. The kids loved it. They still talk about that party. It is family owned and very accomodating. A great experience. We've been back many times just to play!

I've been to Monkey Joe's for a couple of birthday parties. I think they always have open time. I've been also been to Bounce U (in the Chesterfield Valley, behind Home Depot). I think they have only certain time slots that are open and you may need a reservation. Call first. They do many scheduled birthday parties. Same with Pump It Up (also in Chesterfield Valley, but a little further west, can't remember exactly where.) Bounce U and Pump It Up are smaller than Monkey Joe's so it's much easier to keep track of your kids.

I don't know how old your kids are but there's also Sky Zone - the trampoline place. They have a section for younger kids, too. I think they also have open times, but I've only been there for b-day parties. Sky Zone is close to Bounce U.

Good luck for summer! I'll see you at those places, too!

I have been to Bounce U in Arnold. Our experience there was good. It was clean and I liked the way it was set up. The employees had fun with the kids and although the children were yelling and laughing (which was good) it was quieter than Chuckie Cheese. The games were in a different room, so there was no being bothered by other kids asking for money or tokens. There was more than one bounce room, so there was no overcrowding and they have party plans available. We were there for a birthday party. It was a really good experience for the children and the parents.
I am a wife, mother of 5 awesome children and Mary Kay consultant, so we are busy people and avoid places like Chuckie Cheese for many reasons.....other children, excessive noise, machines not working, etc. I love spending time with my children, even if it is just watching them laugh and play. Life is too short for disappointing trips to Chuckie's.
Also, I don't know how old your children are, but mine love to go to Powder Valley. There are no bouncy toys, but there is things to do and look at and investigate. A pretty cool place, both inside and out and completely cost free.

Not been there but the Mills mall is kid friendly with a playground area right at the entrance. The kids play nice there and are not rude, and there are no coins involved. There is a train ride there though that cost $$, but no one is ever on it, looks like it isn't worth the ride. Then you could go to the food court for lunch after and to the ice rink area to watch the Blues practice hockey.

I have been to It's Party Time with my 7 grandchildren and they had a fabulous time! It is smaller so don't compare to Monkey Joe's. It is $4 per child, adults don't pay but can play. They had one of the huge slides, a maze, and a bouncy castle. One of the pieces was down for repair. You cannot bring in food although I took bottles of water and granola bars. They will order pizza from some specific place but with 7 kids, I didn't want to spend the $$ on that. There was also a "game room" that took tokens and there was a counter with items to buy with the tickes from the games. A friend of mine went to Monkey Joe's and it was $10 per person; even the adults so she didn't stay. I would imagine Monkey Joe's is much nicer and more gradios than It's Party Time but mine had so much fun and didn't know the difference. After we were finished "playing" we went to Happy Joe's down the street for pizza.
