Hello,
My 12 month old son has just been recommended to visit an ENT in the next couple of months. I think he is suffering from an Ear Infection right now, so I would like to go ahead and get him into one. Can anyone recommend a great ENT in the area? One that is good in the office as well as in the operating room. Thanks!

What can I do next?

In Dallas, in offices across from the Presby campus:

Dr. Biavatti, pediatric ENT

My son has had three sets of tubes; he grew out of the first two. My pediatrician referred us to him. He's done very good job.

R.,

My son is 9 months old now, but we went through 4 double ear infections in 40 days. We ended up having to have tubes when he was 6 months old. Our ENT is Dr. Evan Bates of Southwest ENT. He is absolutely fabulous, in and out of the surgical room. We still see him for follow-ups or the two times the baby has had ear infections after the surgery. His nurse, Alison, is great too! They really take the time to talk to you and don't rush you in and out. They have two offices: one at Presbyterian of Dallas and one in Plano. Give them a call. I highly recommend them!

R. G - My son just had to have his adenoid taken out and tubes put in his ears. We used Dr. Oxford at the Tom Landry Center - he was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend his office.

Dr. McKee is a good ENT, but does not always have the best bedside mannor. He is very moody. We had good visits and bad.
We had better luck with Dr. Stephen Landers. I believe he is at Presby now. He did both my boys tubes. He understands kids will be kids and has a good office staff. He also understands Mom will be nervous.
If you think you have an infection now, deal with it. My oldest son lost his hearing and was delayed in speech for many years. It took a long time to build his confidance back up.

Dr. McKee is wonderful! My brother and I both go to him and I will definitely take my kids if they ever need an ENT.
