My daughter is finishing her first year of preschool at the end of May and I would like to buy gift(s) for the 5 teachers at her school. Does anyone have any good ideas for a group gift or individual gifts that they might appreciate?

I am part of the group planning the end of the year party at my daughter's preschool. We are doing a couple of things for the teachers. We took up a collection & we will get gift cards for the teachers. We also asked each child to fill out a page for each teacher finishing this sentence "My favorite thing about Mrs. _____ is...". We are putting all of the pages together in a scrapbook with pictures for the teachers. Good luck!

A spa day! Gift card to experiences like art museums...Borders is always a teacher's dream.

I remember getting a gift card for a spa when I taught first...still brings a smile to my face.

I hope you are a parent in my preK.

I teach PK and I need it badly.

Also, photos of the children. Many of my parents have made me scrapbooks of the year. Those are truly the gifts I cherish.

But, a pedicure would be nice too.

I'd do a communal gift...pass around an envelope that each family can contribute whatever they can too..try to avoid setting a certain amount as not everyone can contribute as much as others..once collected either do gift cards to fav restaurants (here in Bloomington Biaggi's is a fav), Barnes and Noble or a Spa (my teacher friends like to shop at places other than teacher stores!)

I think finding a local store that is designed for teachers and get a gift card is the way to go. Teachers spend a ton of their own money these days to buy supplies for their classroom so this would be a great way to give back to the classroom.

I would either do a restaurant gift card, teacher store gift certificate or just good old cash. Teachers would like any of those.

A nice if certificate out to eat, to coffee house, Juice house, book store, etc. I would keep it relatively simple. Most parents will give nothing because they look at the preschool teacher is just doing her job. If you keep it simple it does not showy just very thankful and caring.
