If you are part of a church family, this would be one for the pastor. The church is there to serve, or should be, when it's members need a little help.

I don't know how you would feel about going to a church and asking for help, but that is what they are there for also. I belong to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, TX and they help people all the time. I know what you are thinking, no you don't have to be a member. The office is open Monday-Friday 8-5, try it out.

Call 211 from your phone and they will give you the name of agencies in your area that help with various social services. Any place that helps with financial assistance is going to have restrictions. They are going to require that you bring your eviction notice, proof of residence, photo ID, etc. Plus, many places only have a certain amount to distribute each month and it is often gone within the first few days of the month.

I do not know of an organization in Grand Prairie but I know of one in Grapevine called GRACE. They only provide assistance to folks in Grapevine - but they may know of resources available in Grand Prairie. You might give them a call. http://www.gracegrapevine.org/ ###-###-####
