Here's another link for you:
www.constplay.com
You can also check out Scholastic Family's web site. They have a lot of fun learning toys that get back to basics with imagination. Fewer bells and whistles are great!

Leap Frog has so many fun and eduacational toys. I love the click start toy they just came out with, it teaches kids how to use a computer, it is really resonable and is built kid touch. The reviews are great. Good luck!

Hello K.,

I have found MANY awesome and educational toys/games for my kids through Discovery Toys. My kids spend hours playing these shapes, numbers, and spelling games, upon many others. And they have things for infants all the way to grade schoolers. Something for everyone! If you are interested I'd be glad to get together with you and show you a catalog, or if you'd like to have a get together with your friends, you'd be eligible for free items.

Thanks and have a GREAT day!
Liz.

My little boy just turned 5. Last year for his b-day or Christmas, can't remember, he got a LeapFrog Leapster L-Max and he really enjoys playing it and it's educational. He plays games that teach him about numbers and how to write his letters. Very cool. We also have other various LeapFrog stuff - He enjoys the LeapFrog videos too.

My son has a V-Smile & he enjoys playing it but the graphics aren't that great but it's still educational. :) The games aren't too expensive either. These are just a few of the things that are educational and fun that he enjoys. Good luck! Merry Christmas! :)

my kids love the leapster lmax. We've been getting a lot of the leapfrog items. I have a three and five year old. VTech has something that's similar but I think the games that go with it are cheaper.

I have a 15 month old, and he loves his Leap Frog Fridge Phonics. It's a great way to begin letter recognition and letter sounds. The next toy up from that is the Word Whammer by Leap Frog, which teaches them how to spell words. I previously taught 1st grade for 5 years, and so reading and letters are important to me!!

Your children are learning by playing at that age. Almost any toy you get will be educational. A good set of wooden blocks can be great. We also enjoyed my first leap pad, but my 6 year old is more interested in playing computer games now.

I go to the Apple Tree on 41st. It is a store for teachers, you can go in and tell a sales rep (former teachers) what ages you are shopping for and they will direct you to that section and give you suggestions. When you purchase something you can give them the name of whichever early learning center you want and they will earn 10%. Hope that helps!
