Good Morning Moms...

So a question yesterday sparked some debate on how thin or heavier people vary in eating habits. Here is an article I thought my be helpful.

For those of us trying to lose weight are you truly measuring your portions? Getting enough sleep and journaling? Just some good points I thought would be good. Best wishes and have a great day Mamas!

Don't worry ladies, the "debate" was not heated. It was interesting to hear what people said and there is not easy answer. Getting sleep, reducing stress, and being honest with yourself are all key here. Thanks!

Darn...missed yesterday's weight debate. Good article...more common sense points than anything else. I hope it will help someone.

I don't have a weight problem but I don't watch my portions either. I eat healthy at home but when I go out for dinner, which is once or twice a week, I pig out, and then I have to workout extra hard the next day. I have an awful sweet tooth and I always gets dessert even if its just to take a bite and then doggie bag it. What can I say, I live to eat!

I don't have a weight problem, per se, but about 6 mos ago, I decided I wanted to drop about 10 lbs. I already worked out 5 days/week, so it was clear that my diet needed to change.

I started pay attention to portions (I bought a food scale) and was SHOCKED at the actual sizes of portions I should be eating.
I also got an app to track calories, and again was SHOCKED at how fast everything added up.

I have to say, using the tools helped me get on track, though!
6 mos later, I'm down 12 lbs, and 2 pant sizes! :)
