Easter Egg Stuffer Ideas - Limiting Junk?

Our sitter is awesome when it comes to enjoying holidays and having fun with the kids. She will be doing an easter egg hunt for the children with hundreds of eggs for them to find (there will be 15 kids for the party). EAch family is always asked to bring in items to stuff the eggs with. Last year we did yo-yo's, stickers, stamps, a mini blow up beach balls. It was fun, but eventually it was all thrown out b/c it was cheap and broke.

Any suggestions we could bring for this year? Kids ages range from 4 to 14 (the sitters older children get included - basically to help and have fun with the younger kids).

Thanks!

I would use coins and dollar bills and have each one with an equal amount. The kids can use it for other stuff or put it into piggy banks.

How about mini lego figurines, dollar bills or coins, chapstick or lipsmackers, earrings or other jewlery, glow pendant necklaces from the party store (it's a small one inch glow stick on a string), mini tape dispensers and mini staplers (saw some at Hobby Lobby the other day, they were cute)...hmmm, I'll brainstorm some more and let you know:)

What about "tokens" they can use to then "buy" a bigger gift that would not just be just a cheap throw away?

Erasers, small toys, crayons, stickers. Maybe color code the eggs for age range. Little kids get all the blue ones, older kids find the green (in harder places). That will also help determine what to stuff it with.

We put candy with some change in the Easter eggs. Then we get items like coloring books, pencils, bubbles, koolaid squeezeits, things like that we can put out for all the kids. They have a great time and enjoy it. Good luck to you.

Money. We've done it for years and my son loves it. He likes it more than he would if there was candy in there.

I was going to say coins. Looks like it has been said though. I would also check with your local McDonald's and see if you can buy some coupons for free icecream cones. I hear they sell a pack of them for not to much. I don't know if you meant by junk cheap toys or sugar - so if you meant sugar, you might not want icecream.
