Earing Holes Closed?

If you've had them pierced for any length of time they may not close. I've had my 2nd set for 24 years and only wear earrings in them MAYBE once a year. They have never closed. My 3rd set is closed, but you can still are where the hole was.

If you have had the piercings for any length of time they will not close. I have gone 2 years with no earrings in the ones I had done as a child and they stayed open. Unlike piercings in other parts of your body, your ears may never close without the help of a surgeon.

I dont think there is anything you can do to close em besides to not put anything in them. It will also depend on how long you have had the holes in your ears. All together I have 9 ear piercings and I havent worn anything above my second hole in yrs but all the rest of my holes are still open still.

I don't think you can make your holes close.
Ever since I had my kids.... 7 years ago... I have not worn earrings, nor everyday.... I hardly ever wear earrings since had my kids. My holes have NEVER closed up.

Why can I ask, do you need your holes to be closed up in the next 3 months?????

I haven't worn earrings in 3 years, and before that for 7. Short of having surgery to close it, I can't think of anything. I know I wish I could get rid of the cartilage between that gets irritated sometimes.

I went for years without wearing earrings and my holes never closed.

Sorry, I don't think that there is anything that you can do yourself. You can ask your doctor maybe. I had my ears pierced at 5, stopped using one of the holes (had it repierced at 14), and it is still open.

Did you stretch out your lobes? That won't go away, thats the only reason why i see you wanting to have them close for a job or something but if the lobes are stretched surgery may be required.

I haven't worn earrings in like 6 years and my holes still haven't closed so I wouldn't count on them closing, sorry!

I maybe wear earrings once a year and they are never closed when I put my ear rings in. I recently learned that is true for other body percings too. I had my belly button pierced when I was 18 and took it out when I was 26 and pregnant with my son. I lost weight and about a month ago wanted it back in so I went to get it repierced and the guy said its not closed and stuck the ring right through the hole.

I don't think they do close. Why do you need them closed, can you just not wear earrings? You can always do the laser but that could be costly.

I got mine done when I was 5 years old. I turn 30 this year and have not done the earring thing in like 4 years. My holes are still there. Little but there. Sorry

it could take up to a year to close the only other way is surgery that i know of

I'm allergic to everything except gold, and when I wear cheap jewelry, it irritates the holes. When I scratch them, they bleed. I always have trouble getting earrings in the next day because when the bleeding stops, they start to heal and close overnight. It's gross, irritating, sometimes causes infections and I really wouldn't recommend it, but aside from surgery I don't know what else you could do. Good luck!

I have pierced ears and had it done 30 years ago. When I was younger I wore earrings all the time then after my first child not so much because he would pull at them. After my second child everytime I wear them my ears itch really bad and I end up taking them out after an hour or so. Someone suggested that I get solid gold post but that is not in my budget. My holes are still open and it has been 18+ years.
