My daughter had ear tubes placed when she was about 15 months old, she is almost 3 now and they are just now falling out. She is already starting with ear infections again! We have been battleing and infection for almost 6 weeks now. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if their child had to have the tubes put back in? I hate to see my daughter in any pain!

What can I do next?

My son had a set at 13 months and shortly after the fell out we went down the same path so ended up with our second set around 2.5. Now that he is almost 6, he appears to have grown out of it.

My son had tubes put in at 16 months, and then another set put in again at the beginning of this year (he was 3). Since then, he's had no recurring infections. One of those tubes came out last month and he's had no infections in that ear either.

At 3 years old I didn't want to mess around "trying" a chiropractor because I didn't want him to lost any time learning his words, etc. So we just went back to the ENT and got another set of tubes.

I have heard good things about going to the chriopractor to help with ear infections. No experience myself but some moms were discussing it...

My son had his first set of tubes at 18 months and his second set of tubes at 2 1/2. With the second set he also had his adenoids removed. He is now 11 and has only had 2 or 3 infections since then! The doctor said that the placement of his adenoids were what was causing his infections. When he would get the sniffles the adenoids would swell. Due to their placement they would completely plug the ear and cause an infection. Huge difference! I would ask your doctor.

For sure the chiropractor. I have posted about our success with the chiro previously and it was long winded. I will save you and just tell you that my kids have not had an ear infection in about 3 years! I have been taking my middle daughter(19 months) to the chiro since she was 4 months and she has never had one. Really do it. Good luck!
