Duo Stroller Moms

Since we're expecting a second little one, I'm starting to look at tandem/duo strollers. I would have no problem getting a sit and stand one, but the older of the two will only be 22 months when the new baby comes and I'm wondering if she'll be able to handle the sit and stand style. I've been looking and seen a couple that have two seats and later can convert to a standing style if you choose. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience or recommendations for a solution. I'm not due until July, but we know how fast that time goes :)
Also, I'd like one that works with the Graco SafeSeat as that's the carseat we will be using.

Thanks in advance for any ideas, suggestions or comments you share :D

I have a different suggestion than others. I bought the Graco Tour Duo. Loved that I could pack everything in it. I had a safe seat that matched but the Safeseat did not seem to fit in right. So we bought a coordinating Snugride. That worked great. Although I liked the Tour Duo, we didn't use it often b/c it is heavy & bulky. I am not weak, but it wasn't worth the hassle to take in & out just to run into the store.
It is far better than the standard Duo Glider. But we did sell ours on Craigslist after 3-4 months.
I bought the Chico Extreme Trevi double side-by-side stroller. I love it! It folds as small as two umbrella strollers. Fits behind our 3rd row that is about 11 inches.
It is a better version of the Maclaren Twin Techno for half the cost. If you email me, I'll tell you why I think that... I did a lot of homework. =)
One thing, I bought this when my daughter was 6-7 months old, and I can't remember if it had attachment for a car seat.
Hope my suggestion helps!

I also have a Quattro Tour Duo Stroller. I bought it because it was the only stroller that would allow two carseats to snap in for my twins. I love it tho. the carseat can snap in either spot and the cup holders in the front are removable. One of my FAVORITE things about it is the handles. they are a bull horn kind of style so i can hang my purse and shopping bags on it! i never see other strollers that have that feature and i see moms shoving their purses underneath. the basket also lowers on it which a lot of stroller dont do.

the only down point i would let you know about is that its kind of heavy. that wasn't a problem for me but for a very small woman it might be quite bothersome.

i also had the tray in the seat closest to the handles break but i called the company and they sent me another one in about 3-4 weeks and it was easy to replace.

My kids are 25 months apart and we used the Graco Duo Glider and it works with the Snug-Ride Graco infant seat. I'm not sure if the Sit N Stand can use the Graco seat or not. I do think a 22 month old could use the Sit N Stand because the bench has straps to secure the child. My oldest is now 4 and hit 40lbs. so we can no longer use the Duo Glider. The Sit N Stand has a higher weight limit.

After asking for lots of advice and recommendations, I bought the Graco Quattro Tour Duo for my youngest two that will be 27 months apart for the following reasons:
*It's more compact, light-weight, and easier to maneuver than the Duo Glider and will fit easier in the back of the van.
*The infant carrier is closest to you when you are pushing the stroller, instead of way out in front.
*There are cup holders but no tray to get in the way of the toddler that sits in the front.
*With the sit & stand strollers, the front seat does not recline much, making it hard for the baby to sleep once they are out of the infant seat.
*The under-carriage basket is easier to access than on the sit & stand models.

I have not used mine yet, but I talked with some parents a couple weeks ago that had the same kind as what I purchased and they LOVE it. Funnily enough, it was the dad that raved the most. =)
