I need to have my dryer vent cleaned. Does anyone have a recommendation for a company they've used for this? It's not something I want to try to do myself since it's a very long vent. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

I would highly recommend Doug Trumbull with Doug's Mighty Clean. I have had them to my home and they do an awesome job. He can be reached at ###-###-####. Good luck!

We used Dallas Chimney Sweep to clean both our chimney and dryer vent. The cost for the dryer vent was $89. They did a good job and had some great suggestions as well. ###-###-####.

I have the name of an excellent general contractor. He has done this sort of thing for us before (as well as friends of ours) and was very helpful.

My husband actually does this for a living and loves it because he gets to provide a service that really helps people out.

The company services the entire DFW Metroplex and does a great job, give them a call if you need it. They will come out to your house and do a free video inspection to see if you vents are indeed clogged.

If your dryer takes more than one cycle or more than 45 minutes to dry your clothes you need your vents cleaned, it REALLY helps.

Hi, this issue just came up for me. I thought it was a problem with my dryer, but the technician said the problem was a clogged dryer vent. He told me to remove the dryer vent from the dryer. Take a leaf blower, yes you heard right, put it in the tube and plug up the space around the opening. He recommended rags to make the seal, but DH just used duct tape. Turn it on full blast. Our vent happened to be clogged with water and probably a half to a whole gallon of water came out the exterior vent. We ran the leaf blower for almost 10 minutes to make sure all the water and lint had been removed. All clear! And no cost. If you don't have a leaf blower, check with your neighbors and borrow one. Believe it or not it was very easy.
