Permanent Marker In The Dryer
My 4 year old daughter managed to put a permanent marker in the dryer with the cap off. You can imagine what happened. One of her cloth shirts was blotched with black ink. We left it like this for 10 months! Then, my wife said to me, "Why don't you try some of these Melaleuca products on this shirt. It will be a good test!" So I proceeded to spray the stains with Pre-Spot and then soaked the shirt in Mela Power for 1 day and rubbed the stains away! You must understand-- it was a few months so it needed a little more time.

The permanent marker stains went away completely without damaging my daughter's cloth shirt!

Hand Sanitizer (GermX) is less messy and sticky than hair spray.

hi D. i have tried melaluca products, and yes they worked most of the time i didn't like the smell. have you tried desolve-it? you can find it in the cleaner isle. it has a citrus smell and it took gum out of clothes that went all the way through the laundry. it will even take tar off of your car! hope this helps

I just got sharpie permanent marker out of a shirt last night by using hairspray. I sprayed on enough hairspray to saturate the fabric and then I blotted both sides with a paper towel. I repeated this process 5-6 times and then put it in the washer as normal. There was no ink on the shirt when I took it out of the washer! Good Luck...

For ink I use hairspray and cold water; but for dry erase marks; they sell something on the market for getting rid of marks. I would try it on a inconspicuous spot first. You might try hairspray and cold water. Get the shirt wet with water, Spray hairspray, repeat until clear. wash as usual also try on an out of the way spot just to be sure it won't ruin the garment

I just had to do that 2 days ago. I did an internet search on how to get it out and Murphey's oil soap was the most recommended tip and it worked great for me. My daughter had a 4 inch blue line across a pink dress! It got out 99% of the mark.
Give it a try - I hope you have the same result!
