Drop-In Care in Plano

I've got a few business trips planned to Dallas over the next month and I'll be travelling with my 15 month old. We're staying with my family, but my Mom's got bad knees and can't be chasing a toddler around the house for 10 hours a day. Is there anyone that offers drop in care - either a home based daycare, or full facility? My mom said she went by Adventure Kids, but since my son isn't yet 18 months, he'd be stuck in the "baby" room which she said is a 10x10 room with some cribs and a few highchairs! ICK!!

Or, do any of you have a nanny that wouldn't mind chasing a second little guy around for a couple days here and a couple days there? I'm open to suggestions!

Thanks in advance!
Jen

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for the offers and suggestions. Through luck, a friend doesn't need her nanny next week and we're able to "borrow" her and have her come to my parent's home.

We also talked to the manager at AK who was very helpful!

Thanks!

I think you should re-evaluate Adventure Kids...
While my kid hasn't gone to AK, several of my friends' kids have, including their little ones. The 'baby room' is for babies, not mobile kids who want to play. Why don't you call and talk to the site manager.

J.,
I'm a SAHM and live in the northwest Frisco area. I have two children (7mo and almost 4). I keep a teacher friend's son (8mo old). I'm looking into keeping another child, but do not have one yet so I could possibly help you out. Send me a message and we can set up a time to talk on the phone if you are interested.

I have not seen any drop-in places that I would trust. Have you looked on Sittercity.com. There are lots of good sitters and nannies in Dallas.

I have used Adventure Kids (the one in Plano at Park and Preston) and my boys love it there. They are old enough (3 and 6) to tell me if anything bad happened or if they did not like it. A friend had suggested it to me, she used it for her 2 boys from the time the younger one was an infant. I used it as a drop-in for a few days when we were in town looking at houses, and again when we moved to Dallas for the days we had movers at our house.
