Dress up Clothes on the Cheap?

Hi all, searching for dress up clothes for my 2 1/2 yr old daughter, such as feather boas, hats, necklaces, costumes or anything or the sort. She loves to wear her Halloween costume (a turtle) around the house and lately has become very interested in imaginative play with these sort of items. Since we're not talking actual clothing, I'd like to spend as little as possible. Since it's winter there are not a whole bunch of garage sales for us to search through, and I'd like to stay cheaper than a Once Upon A Child or another place like it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I have found some interesting stuff at thrift stores... Not sure where you live but Unique is 1/2 price on Mondays. You do have to dig adn sometimes be imaginative but you can find things. Wal-mart, JoAnns have items however the price isn't usually "cheap" Good Luck!!

Hi S.,
Check out the following website: http://www.lillianvernon.com/catalog/product_display.jsp?...
It is Lillian Vernon and they have a Disney Princess dress up trunk for $30.00. It has 24 pieces. I bought this for my 2 year old daughter for Christmas and she loves it!

Good Luck

Have you tried freecycle.com? It is all free stuff that people in the area want to get rid of.

Dollar Tree stores have a lot in the way of hats, plastic jewelery and plastic dress up shoes. My daughter LOVES to clomp around the house in these...

You can usually find some at Goodwill. I tend to haunt (snicker) The Goodwill in Aurora gets alot of items that are sale items from stores, they still have the tags on them. I found wonderful Cinderella dresses, fairy wings and boas this last Halloween for under 20 dollars, total. =)
Also, Target usually has a section that is non-brand dress-up clothes that are relatively cheap.
