Hi Mommas,
I have an almost 3 yr old and a 3 month old and I'm looking for a double stroller that would be good for lots of walking. I want to train to walk a half marathon (which is a big deal for me). I am currently a SAHM so any training I do will be with my kids so I need a double stroller that can withstand lots of walking, not too bulky and good for a baby and toddler. Anyone have any do's and don'ts? Any recommendations on types, brands, stores, etc? Anyone have one for sale? TIA!!

What can I do next?

I have a graco double stroller and my one yo and almost 3 yo ride in it fine. Even when my one year old was younger we could fit her carseat in the back seat and put my son in the front.

We love our Bob Revolution, which comes in a duallie, and you can purchase the additional attachment that allows adding an infant seat. (though your 3 month old can probably go in on his own now too).
The stroller is pretty big, but it rides smoothly on rough terraine, and is really durable. Also, unlike most other jogger strollers, you can set it for whether you want the wheels stationary for jogging, or to revolve for easier mobility in town or for walking on trails.
We loved the fact that our Bob could make it through any kind of weather (including 3 feet of snow in Chicago winters), whereas our Graco was useless for 4 months of the year when there was snow.

I don't have a double stroller, but have the BOB revolution single and LOVE it. It is still going strong for my second...4 years later. Very strong/durable and a cinch to push. You can take a look at them/try it out at REI (The closest stores to you are in Troy, and Northville). They are expensive, but will last you a long time! My 5 year old can still fit in it!

How about a Valco Trimode double? Love the headroom that they offer - with the bubble visor it leaves a ton of room to grow.
Of course the BOB is always a favorite. Baby Jogger Summit is also a great double
