Hi, moms! We are expecting baby #2 in August & are in the market for the dreaded "double stroller". The kids will be 2 years apart when this one arrives, so I'd love to hear all the feedback y'all have for the strollers you've used. Thanks a bunch!

I got one of the strollers that has a baby seat in the front and a sit down stand up part in the back. I love it, the 2 year old liked being able to get in and sit and get out to explore when he wanted. I was also able to use the baby car seat in it until she was old enough to sit up in it. It's fantastic.

I have a phil and teds vibe bought it on craigslist for a great price and love it so much I told my husband I will no longer drive anywhere!!!! It is great for walking running and just in the mall. A bit expensive brand new but totally worth it my kids are 3 and 7 months and its great because I can use it as a single when my daughter is too big for it :)

I have a Graco DuoGlider, but I really wish I would have ponied up the extra bucks for a Phil & Ted's. The DuoGlider is one of the few models that fit in the back of my Mazda 5. It is easy to set up, except for the basket, which is not very user friendly. The basket is, indeed, large, but it's a pain in the neck to set up and to get things in/out of. The unit is also pretty darn hard to turn when both kids are in there, and I get quite a workout.

I have the Babytrend Double Sit n Stand. I love the fact that the back seat can come off and my toddler can stand back there. The basket is large enough to fit the seat into if he decides to change positions mid-trip. It is pretty inexpensive, but it is wonderful. It takes up no more space than my single stroller when folded, but it is a little taller. It fits in the trunk of a Corolla so that is impressive to me and it goes well on grass with an infant carrier and toddler. I like having the "double" because it holds 2 infant carriers so I can put the baby in either position and the toddler in either. My kids are 20 months apart.

I have 3 kids and have the Bob and I LOVE it. I didnt use the bar for the infant seat and my son was about 4 months when I put him in it. it reclined well enough so he was comfortable..I dont jog that much but did want it so I could begin..even if I dont end up jogging I love how easy it is to push and turn! It was way better then the other one I had which was not side by side and I believe an evenflo brand? Good Luck and congrats on baby # 2!

A., I'm guessing my answer might be a little different from the others, although I haven't read them. My sons are 18 months apart. We bought a double stroller off of Craigslist and honestly, we barely used it! Weird, eh? I don't know why but #1 almost always wanted to walk after he turned 2 and pretty much refused to sit in the stroller. I'm glad that we bought a used stroller because truly, it was hardly used. You might want to think about doing something like buying a used one before spending a bunch of money. The one suggestion that I would have is don't buy a double-wide stroller. I see people just struggle with those in stores!

I disagree with the double wide statement below. It creates less fighting if they are side-by-side and I've never not been able to get in a store with it. I have the Phil and Teds (love it but now they fight over the back seat and my daughter weighs too much to sit back as it'll tip backwards a bit), bought a used Joovy Caboose Sit and Stand and sold it quickly as its too hard to push up and down hills and would not be convenient during the early infant stage, Mountain Buggy Double side-by-side - love it - similar to the Bob Revolution Duallie. I had the Maclaren Techno Double as well and it just didn't fit my lifestyle but is great for that very beginning phase when the baby needs to be fully reclined.

I just got a Graco double stroller and HATE it! I had a regular Graco stroller with my two older girls and got a double when I had my third daughter and it is really poor quality and things don't move the way the are supposed to. Would highly recommend NOT getting a Graco double stroller.

Mine are 20 month apart and we bought the Bumbleride Indie Twin. It was that or the BOB but we're not joggers and there were things about the BOB I didn't like. For one they sit back really far even in the most upright position so they can't see very well and when you have the infant car seat adapter bar on it goes across both seats so the older child can't climb in very easily, if at all. Also, the Bumblride basket is a lot bigger. Congrats and good luck!

If you want to spend the money, the Uppa Baby Vista is amazing. You can have your one baby in it alone, in a bassinet, car seat or when they are 6 mo+, a seat, or you can have both children in, with the older one in a rumble seat. They can face each other, which my girls love, or they can both face you. As I said, it's expensive, but you can resell it for about 1/2 or more of the value in a couple years. Let me know if you're interested and have other questions. Best of luck!

Sit N stand is compact and the older child usually wants to stand but ride anyway so it is great to keep track of both of them:) Buy it off of craigslist or KSL ads to save a bundle. We also have a Graco double stroller and have used it a ton and hammered it through 4 kids.

Hi! I wondered about this same thing while pregnant with my second little guy. I ended up buying a Graco double that seats front-to-back. It was perfect for everything but running. I had a separate running stroller for that. Anyway, I will sell my double stroller to you for a minimal amount. I'm anxious to sell now that my youngest is almost 4! Contact me at ____@____.com. I will offer you an amazing deal for a fabulous stroller! J.

Hi A.,

I prefer to push two seperate strollers. Just kidding! We bought the Kolcraft Contours. I love it so far, but it is kind of bulky. It takes up a lot of room in my van. But it is much easier to get my little ones around.
