Dollhouse - Which One Is Best for 2 Kids?

I want to get my 2 1/2 year old twin girls a dollhouse, which is a big toy investment, so I don't want to get one they'll grow out of too quickly. Should I go with the Fisher Price Twin Time Loving Family Dollhouse (is it big enough for 2 kids to play at the same time) or get one that is bigger and will eventually work with Barbies (which they aren't into yet)?? Thanks in advance for your help!

What can I do next?

I bought a Kidcraft Grand Villa dollhouse for my 2 daughters last Christmas. My girls absolutely love it and it gets daily play. They are now both 5 and I don't see them getting tired of it at all because you can use so many different dolls with it. They use their barbies, groovy girl dolls as well as smaller dolls and animals. It is huge and has to be taken apart to get it through a doorway. But it is wood and is very nice looking and high quality. It comes with all the nice furniture. And it plays on all 4 sides so 4 people can play with it at a time and not get in each others way. It looks nice all set up. I recommend it if you are looking in that price point. I think we paid about $200 - $250 for it and we got it at Costco. I don't know if they'll have it again this year and I've never seen it in a store. But I did look it up online last year when we were considering it so I could know if we were getting a good price. You'd be able to order it that way. And there were other Kidcraft dollhouses we found online in our research that weren't quite as big but also very nice.

I second the Fisher Price Dollhouse. My daughter, neice and my 2 yr old son LOVE the dollhouse....yes even my son! : )
They all love the different peices and sets that come with it and they always seem to be coming out with new sets. All of the peices are really neat and the many of them make neat noises.
I actually got VERY lucky one time and bought the playhouse on clearance for only $15! It was a one time thing, I've never seen it that price anywhere again.
My Mom payed over $50 so we definitely got a deal!
Anyhow, the dollhouse is awesome and your girls will LOVE it. Oh yea, it's SO easy to assemble!
Take care.

I vote the fisher price twin time doll house for sure!!We got it for my daughter for Christmas when she was 2.5, and she is now 5 and still plays with it!! Not only that, but all of my day care kids still play with it too...even at the same time! We do also have the Dora house which also gets lots of play, so usually, they are both out at the same time and some kids play with each. We have continued to buy new pieces for it for birthdays etc! I have an 8 yr old girl and a 5 yr old girl and neither of them have ever gotten into Barbie, so wait until they really express an interest for that. Have fun, you will find yourself playing some too:) ~A.~

My daughter has the Twin Time Dollhouse. Be watching the Toys R Us ads. When I bought mine before Christmas two years ago when they had a buy-one-get-one-free sale on all Fisher Price. I ended up getting 2 dollhouses for the price of one plus all the furniture they make (in hindsight, I wouldn't have bought all the furniture sets because there are not enough rooms). I sold one of the dollhouses on craigslist so I ended up spending a little under $100 for everything instead of $220. It was a great deal! My daughter is now 5 and still loves it as well as her 3 yr old brother and 1 yr old sister.
