I am 33 weeks and had a Doc appt today, I told my Doc that it felt like she was really low lying down already "like she was going to fall out" and he felt around on my tummy and told me that I was right that she is already laying down pretty low head first...he said she's not "too low" and I don't know what he means by that?? Some people are telling me it sounds like she is going to be early, but he didn't say that?? So I was just wondering what everyone else thinks and if they have experienced the same thing! Thanks!!

What can I do next?

I think it depends on the person. My first son was head down and low from about 6 1/2 months on. The dr. tested me several times for early labor, but he didn't come until a week before his due date, and even then I was induced even though I was 7cm.

My son dropped around 33 weeks. He was very low and during a pelvic exam, the doctor told me that his head was right there. I had the same feeling...I felt like he was going to fall out. I ended up getting induced because he was a week late. The doctor was determined that he was going to be early...didn't happen.
Good Luck!!

I was 7 cmn and 60% effaced a whole week before I had my son, and he was 4 days overdue.

So you never know!

Good luck :)

it is quite natural to drop early on a first preg. or if you haven't had a birth in quite a while. On proceeding pregs., it is not unusual to not drop until right before labor.

You are fine. My first preg. baby was extremetly low and head down the ENTIRE preg. (so low that they couldn't get her head on sonos often due to my pubic bone) and she was always ontop of my bladder. My dr. was never worried about this and she was born a week before my due date, not considered early by any OB (anything 38 weeks or over is full term).

Best of luck!

Both of my boys dropped early, and I began dilating early with them. But, my oldest held out until 39 weeks (I was 5 cm dilated), and my youngest was born at 38 1/2 weeks (I was 6 cm when labor began). Anything after 37 weeks is technically "full term." She will definitely come when she's ready - but it sounds like your body is getting ready. Just know that it can take WEEKS for your body to get ready! That's what mine did the month before delivery!!!

My daughter dropped at about 33-34 weeks, but I didn't go into labor until almost 42 weeks. Every pregnancy is different. When your litlle one is ready, he/she will come.
