I am a full time stay at home mom, and I get bored sometimes and would like to find ways I could plan things for me and my daughter to do and maybe even invite a friend along with there kids (that is not to expensive). Does anyone know of websites I could look at and find fun things to do to help me not be bored and my daughter learn some new things. Thanks T.

Hi- You can order really fun craft kits from Oriental Trading or Discount School Supply. They have great craft kits that are very affordable. My sister and I teach preschool and art classes and we get lots of great ideas from these two sites.

I have some favorite websites that I think you would really like and find helpful:

Fisher-Price online games - once your child is old enough you can put them on your lap and play on the computer:

This is the free online version of Family Fun Magazine - they have lots of great stuff and ideas for families:

This is a church magazine produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has lots of great lessons and activities for children. Any part of it is printable and I highly recommend you take a look at this one:

This is a great website I saw on a TV show. It is full of activities, crafts and you can recieve a weekly/monthly email full of fun things for you and your kids:

You can check with your local library for group reading times. My library has toddler and preschool reading times with games, singing and reading. They are a lot of fun. If you are interested in a playgroup you can put the word out there on this site and see what kind of response you get.

I hope these help and good luck!

T.,
You have gotten some great suggestions for things to do at home. Here are some links to sites that will show you what's going on in your community, such as: events at the libraries, museums, classes and camps.

http://utah.citysearch.com/ (You can change location.)
You can do a google search with the words outing and kids and your city and you should find tons of stuff. You can also try your local newspaper website.
Have fun!

I found a few web sites for you. Although it's not ideas of things to do out and about in public, there are a lot of things you could do with just your child or even with more kids. I hope you have fun!!
