Do You Use Perfume Everyday?

Everytime I smell a nice perfume I think I would like to use mine but I just keep forgetting, I would love if my kids could remember me for that too. My mom only uses perfume in special ocations, but my grand ma did all the time and everytime I smell it I get all smuchy inside, it is a nice feeling and memory.
I wonder how many of you use perfume everyday (SAHM or working mom) and if you have a different one for each occasion (like sporty day, or school meeting or just because, etc) or you have a signature one for years.

What can I do next?

Sigh... I always seem to get a complaint when I wear perfume on an ordinary day. Either someone is oversensitive to the smell or they are allergic.

I don't use perfumes because it gives my family headaches, tight chest etc. but if I did, I'd use it every day. I'm a stay at home mom and I dress nice all the way down to my shoes being tied. I also do my hair and make-up as if I'm going to work so if I were to wear perfume, that would also be part of my morning routine. I also have my kids get dressed and ready for school even though they're homeschooled. =) HTH

I wear perfume everyday for my husband. I wear the same one because he loves it. I am a SAHM. I put it on in the morning after my shower. It is just part of the routine. I sometimes remember to put a little bit more on right before he comes home. I love it that he loves the way I smell. He just drinks it in.

I don't wear any ever, but I know what you mean. When I was in high school I wanted to have a signature scent (I used chanel no 5 - kind of "old" for 15) but I later became allergic to most fragrance so no perfume for me :( My mom used to wear Shalimar for a special night out. I think she's had the same bottle for 30+ years!

I wish I could use perfume! I think fragrances (if they're not too strong) not only invokes nice memories, but can also be calming to yourself if you like the smell. I used to wear Pleasures (Estee Lauder), it was my favorite; and I also liked the scented lotions from Bath and Body Works. Alas, nature is working against both me and my husband; as we've gotten older, we've both gotten extremely allergic to ANY kind of fragrance, even the more expensive kinds that I used to be fine with! :-( If your family isn't allergic, you should try out scented lotions; you're less likely to forget to put lotion on, especially during the winter when dry skin is a problem.

Yep, every single day. I'm sure my kids will remember that aroma forever. My mom and grandmothers both wore a scent every day. I have my grandmothers scarves and hankies in my trunk and I take them out and sniff them from time to time.
My Grandma's always smelled of the same sweet aroma each time I visited them. I miss them :(
I feel bad for the people that have allergies --they really miss out on something special.

I rarely wear perfume, especially since I have a newborn. When I do, I love "origins" perfume.
My grandmother wore "windsong" and anytime I smell it I get that same "smuchy" feeling.

I never use perfume. I'm pretty sensitive (not allergic or anything like that) to smells and I can't find one that I can stand being around for longer than about 15 minutes and I'm in the bathroom trying to wash it off.

I do know what you mean about scents leaving memories, though. They do leave some of the longest lasting memories we have. I use a very lightly scented (and inexpensive) skin lotion, and I've been told by my daughter that she recognizes my smell, and I like to hear that :-)

I really dislike perfume and never use it. My mom used it every day and it makes me feel ill and gives me a headache. Every time I'm around her I'm reminded how much I dislike it! (sorry to sound negative!)

I wear perfume everyday. I feel lost without it. I have used the same one for years and everyone always comments how nice it smells. Even prefect strangers. My daughter is 3 and when I get dressed that is the first thing that she hands me to put on and tells me that I smell pretty.

I don't wear perfume but I do use Victoria's Secret body spray/mist. It's smells so pretty & fresh! They have a lot of different scents.

I use it about 5 days a week on average.

I absolutely LOVE perfume! I wear it everyday. Im a working mom but I wear it on the weekends too LOL! I dont have a specific one for any event, I have several and it just depends on my mood :) My daughter already likes looking at the pretty bottles and likes to put some on like mommy.

Go for it!

I like really light, fresh smelling perfumes. I try to stick to natural oils, though, instead of synthetic fragrances because I know they aren't good for your body. My favorite right now is Kai (smells like plumeria flowers). I don't wear it every day, and rarely to the office. Seems like so many people at the workplace would rather not smell other people :)

No, I am one of the unlucky ones who can't wear it because it gives me a headache. It also is hard to be around someone else who has it on especially if they may have put a wee bit too much on...

Everyday I use a squirt of Pleasures by Estee Lauder. I'm a SAHM but I like to smell nice. I've been using it for about 13 years now. I just love the way it smells!

My 'signature' fragrance is "Holy Smoke" by Caswell&Massey. I bought myself a bottle of it 7-8 years ago and still have some.

I wear it maybe once a month, and then with discretion. There are lots of people with allergies/sensitivities to perfume. There are certain ones which bother me, so I try to be considerate, too.

I just have to throw this in: MOST perfumes contain potentially harmful chemicals, and most of them are kept secret from the public (more on this here: http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/).

The more children (and adults) are exposed to the many modern chemicals in homes and cosmetics, the more likely they are to eventually become sensitized.

And for those of us who become chemically sensitive, perfume everywhere in public is socially crippling. I can't begin to tell you how many places I have had to leave, including in the middle of restaurant meals and movies, which I only attempt during very low-traffic times. I don't even try most public venues anymore, including weddings, funerals, school meetings, parties, etc., because I come home sick every time. And the sick (headache, dizziness, confusion, breathing difficulties) can last for two or more days.

I've known people who have had to quit jobs because coworkers refused to lighten up on the perfume. I knew one young lady who worked in a clothing store who actually fainted when heavily-perfumed customers came in. Her fellow clerks would warn her to get into the back room, and they would handle those customers themselves.

I beg perfume-wearing moms to use only enough for people within a couple of feet of you to be able to detect. The world will be a little safer for those of us who get sick from it. Thanks.

I put it on everyday. I love it, and it makes me feel more put together. For me it's part of my routine when get ready...hair/makeup/deodorant/perfume....done.
I have never gotten one complaint when I wear my usual perfume (original Juicy Couture), I actually get the opposite...everyone loves it...so I guess you could say it's my signature.

i will generally wear perfume to work and body spray on the weekends (unless we're going out/on an outing).

my lil bit has a makeup kit toy with fake perfume so i "spray" it on her. she totally doesn't understand the concept yet, but its still fun.

i do know what you're referring to...i identify with my dad's cologne (he only wears like 2 or 3 different kinds like ever) more than my mom's because she uses many different ones/body spray like me.

I luv Estee Lauder Romance this was mine before I had kiddos then switched to Clinique Happy for a few years but now I shop BBW & since their lotions are highly scented i'll go without the body sprays or use them when I use a non scented lotion.I'll often just spray my clothes I get headaches to easy from strong scents so this down grades the scent.

I use it.
I use samples I get from stores.
Like the 'Creed' perfume from Neiman's.
I would not buy a whole bottle myself, due to cost, but Creed perfumes are great. They are an old perfume house... and they do signature perfumes for Princess Di, celebrities like George Clooney, Angelina Jolie etc.
So I use the samples I get from Neiman.
Here is there website and you can read about their history here:
http://www.creedboutique.com/content/4-about-creed

Perfumes do create memories.... my daughter loves smelling my perfumes and I get her samples too.

Getting samples, means you do not have to buy it!
Saves money! For a SAHM like me, it works.
And you can have lots of it.
:)

I use Clinique Happy pretty much EVERY DAY and If I forget to use it - I feel "off".. lol I adore the scent and get a lot of compliments on it, Ive been using it for over 10 years... its my 'signature' scent :-)
Sometimes I'll use my grapefruit lotion and body spray~ When I feel I need a Pick me up~ kick in the butt to get the day going. I used in on vacation in the Dominican in '06 when DH and I got engaged and the moment I spray it on I immediately get taken back to being the hotel room getting ready to go out for the evenings!! Awesome memories. Perfume makes me happy ;-)

If you keep it next to your deodorant, or tooth/hairbrush..it will be hard to miss! I use something simple but smells nice from Bath and Body Works. Its Japanese Cherry Blossom (the perfume, not body spray...theres a big difference to me)! Im at SAHM and I use it pretty much every day, unless its kind of a lazy day!

I am a sahm. I put it on almost everyday. unless I forget, but its usually part of my 'get ready' routine. I have a 3-4 different ones I use, depending on the weather and my mood. I also have a mens cologne that I wear because I LOVE the smell.
