Sloppy Joes. Mix with a can of Manwich. Throw on a nice bun with a slice of cheese. Serve with any sides: potatoes, veggies, fries, salad.....

Yep. Heat your oven to broil. Mix 1lb or two with a bag of taco seasoning. Make into burgers ( I suggest thinner ones, they cook better) Broil for 3 min on one side two on the other. (I like mine well done so I go longer). Take cream cheese cut into 1/2 inch strips and make an X on the burgers, sprinkle paprika and put back in the oven for 2 min. That's it. Takes maybe 15 minutes and is awesome!

Fideo
In the pasta section, purchase 2 boxes of Vermicelli (fideo) ~this will feed 4
1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 small onion chopped
1 can - 14 ½ oz Whole can tomatoes squashed with juice
½ tsp ground cumin
1 clove of garlic
3 beef bullion cubes (option 3 cups beef broth)
Black ground pepper
1 zucchini shredded

In a large skillet (will need a lid) or 3 qt stock pot (will need lid)

Brown ground beef with onion, garlic, cumin, zucchini, and black pepper
Drain all fat and place meat mixture aside.

In skillet/pot, heat 2 TBLSP olive oil, add both boxes of vermicelli and brown in the oil.. Stir it constantly until it is browned. Do not let it burn.
Add Beef mixture
Add 3 cups Beef broth (or 3 cubes and 3 cups water)
Pour in crushed tomatoes with juice.

If mixture is not slightly covered with liquid, add water till it is.
When mixture begins to boil, cover and lower heat to low/medium.
Do not lift the lid.
Simmer 18 minutes. Serve in bowls..

Taco Salad ~ YUMMY!!

1 head of lettuce
1 lb. ground beef
1 can of kidney beans
1 tomatoe
1 red onion
1 can sliced or chopped black olives
1 block of cheddar cheese (grated)
1 bag Doritos Nacho Cheese tortilla chips

dressing:

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup La Victoria green mild taco sauce

Brown your hamburger and season w/ garlic salt, pepper. Drain grease and add the kidney beans to your meat. Turn down to low and let cook while you prepare the salad.
Chop your lettuce, tomatoe, and onion (you can use less or more onion) into a large bowl, add the olives and grated cheese. Set aside while you mix together your salad dressing. Add the hamburger, beans, and salad dressing. Toss well.

Serve over Doritos chips, or you can add the chips to the salad. I prefer to keep them seperate so they don't get to soggy!

Takes about 20-30 min. altogether!

No recpies for you, just ideas that don't require a recipe.
I only use ground beef for taco meat, hamburgers, manwhich-sloppy joes, meatballs, and salsbury steak.
You can use the taco meat to make quesadillas, taco salad, nachos, enchiladas.

Enchiladas w/red sauce

Brown ground beef. In sauce pan warm plain tomato sauce and a packet of taco seasoning. Add some seasoned sauce to ground beef, then dredge tortillas in sauce and roll like normal. Add cheese, onion and olives if you'd like. Serve with avocado, lettuce, tomato & sour cream on top. Easy!

This is so easy. I use the regular taco seasoning packets and these enchiladas taste like Taco Bell food...which I like.

Ground beef, sliced zucchini or summer squash, chopped bell pepper, onion if you like it, rice or pasta, sauce or crushed tomatoes and parm. or mozz. cheese. I just cook the veg with the beef, drain it, add cooked pasta, rice, barley (any grain really) and the sauce and then add the cheese at the end just until it melts. Really easy and it gets my husband to eat veggies.

He likes to just cook ground beef and add cooked pasta and tomato juice (yuck I say...).

Easiest meatballs ever and I get people begging me to make these for them. Ground beef, dry bread crumbs, an egg, chopped onion, salt, pepper, garlic, oregano. I cut up cheese sticks and make the meatball around the cheese and then I cook them in whatever sauce I have (they only take 20 minutes or so if you rotate and keep them covered) and serve them with whatever pasta I happen to have on hand.

Here's one of my family's favorites. It does have to cook for a little while but it's really easy to throw it together. I use low fat/light soup and sour cream in this and also substitute frozen white onions for the green onions if I don't have any.

Cabbage Stroganoff

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. oil
1 cup chopped green onions
1 lb. ground beef
1 head of cabbage
1 cup water – separated
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream

Directions:
1. Heat oil in skillet.
2. Sauté green onions.
3. Add beef and cook until browned.
4. Add cabbage and 3/4 cup of water. Cover and cook until cabbage is wilted.
5. Add onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, and remaining 1/4 cup of water. Mix thoroughly and add sour cream. Stir and cover. Simmer for 45 minutes or until cabbage is tender.

Serve over mashed potatoes.

I use ground turkey for ground beef style meals, but either works for anything, here's our favorite use-

Lasagna
-non-cook noodles (barilla makes some good ones)
-1 16 oz pkg skim milk ricotta, mixed with one package of baby spinach, prewashed and half cup of shredded skim milk mozzarella. (stir it all up together)
-brown the meat with 1 large jar of your favorite red pasta sauce-I am a fan of Paul Newman's sauces (low salt, low sugar, no corn syrup, etc)
*if you like extra veg, add sauteed mushrooms or shredded zucchini or carrots to the spinach mixture
Layer noddles, cheese mixture, meat mixture and handfuls of shredded mozzarella in a 9x13 Pyrex baking dish, repeat, top with lots of shredded mozzarella, bake at 350 for about 20-30 minutes, until cheese starts to brown.

Makes great lunch leftovers too!

Tacos are a favorite in my house.

You could always make a meatloaf, that's easy.

I used to make stuffed peppers, which can be a little time consuming and my kids (and their friends) just love the stuffing, here's how I make it, saute onions and cut up green pepper, remove from pan - brown the ground beef - remove fat - add onions, peppers, a can of tomato sauce and some seasoning, oregano, black pepper, garlic powder, simmer for about 10 minutes. Serve over rice.

Hamburger Helper.

Burgers.
