Do You Have a Gymboree Problem?

Hello,
What is it with Gymboree? The smell? The cute accessories? How everything matches? Even, sometimes, the buttons? The sales? The bins of clothes to rifle through? I have THREE stores near me, and I am always sneaking away from my family (or my work!) to run in and look for all, or part, of a discount outfit. Just for fun, I googled Gymboree Addict and found a story about someone who nearly bankrupted their family shopping at Gymboree!

Are you hopelessly compelled to buy outfits for your children at Gymboree?

What can I do next?

I don't ever shop there unless I can find an amazing deal (which is pretty rare). Even their sale stuff is too pricey. I do love crazy 8 though and gymboree owns them and so they have similar clothes for WAY less!

Hello, my name is T. and I'm an addict.

Honestly, they are just too stinkin' cute! I love that everything always matches, I love the pictures and you really can't beat their sales for clothes that last so long and are so well made! I hear you! I can't go in there and come out empty handed!

I'm a new Carter's addict. They have an outlet store 20 min away and I got amazing deals there a few weeks ago and definitely plan to do most of my shopping there from now on.

No - but I do love both Janie & Jack and Crazy 8 - both owned by Gymboree.

Back in the day, even our "I hate to shop" daughter, loved going in there. I have some of the best photos of her in those outfits.

When she sees them today she says she would not mind dressing like that now..
Amazing since she does not usually believe in color for her clothing.
She is 21..

Things I saved? Hats, a Scottie shaped Purse, leggings and a top. Do not think I can ever part with them.

I love when they have items 75-90% off. It doesn't happen often but if you pop in frequently enough and have a coupon you can get a deal like that. The clothes are really well made, tend to run large, and I love the motifs. I used to spend much more then when my son was a baby because I really didn't know how many outfits he needed plus I didn't really get hand me downs. But now, I don't buy anything unless it's at least 75 percent off. If that story about the family is real, sorry, that is selfish and sad.

I used to be addicted to gymboree and Janie and jack when my husband worked and made a ton, now that only I work and make half of that, I'm addicted to finding these and other good brands at consignment and a super nice yuppie value village we have..seriously, I go at least twice a week! I used to even haunt ebay for vintage gymboree pieces =)

I LOVE Gymboree, but stay out of the stores and just order online. I actually find more items I can use online then trying to go through them in the store, and save gas, time and frustration.

Gymbucks earning is going on right now, along with Rise and Shine, and I have 3 coupons, woo hoo, but will use just one of them for now. I plan to buy some pj's as Christmas gifts for the grandkids (to go along with the fleece blankets I'm making) when they go on sale next month, (hopefully 50% off!) and stock up for next year's wardrobe for the little guy so will use the coupons to my best advantage. I never purchase Gymboree at regular prices, always shop the sales, use coupon codes, and earn Gymbucks, and have saved hundreds, no, thousands of $$$'s. I love figuring out how much I saved with each order : )

Unfortunately their quality has gone down a bit in the last few years so I'm not hopelessly compelled to buy outfits at Gymboree, I buy where I get the quality and value: Gymboree, Crazy 8, Carter's, Osh Kosh, Hanna Andersson, etc.

I'm not as hooked as I used to be, but there are some great things about Gymboree: I can find outfits in coordinating colors, but different styles for my 2 girls to wear on special occassions AND girls that are 6-10 years old can still dress like young girls rather than teens but still look stylish. Shopping in the girls size 7-14 section of most stores is frightening.

My girls have graduated to Justice but I find their quality can not compare to Gymboree's. When their Justice leggings wore through in the knees, I went back and bought some Gymboree leggings that would coordinate with their Justice clothes.
