Do You Ever Wonder...

Dandy was here the other day.. What a hoot.

After the election 8kidsdad was poof..I know he was not pleased with the reelection of Pres. Obama.. He was positive Mr. Romney would win.. He is positive Pres. Obama Hates America and white people.. I was constantly having to remind him that President Obama was half white.. He adored his mother and grandmother, both white people..

I do miss the other dads.. They added a good perspective.

I miss 8kidsdad and Jim At Home Dad and Rachel D. I enjoyed all of their perspectives. I'm not on as much as I used to be and I'm trying to catch up on some newbies.

There is a facebook group that a lot of us are on so its easier to keep in touch and say whatever we want.

I'm not on here as much as I used to be. Sometimes its just too much drama and I tend to speak my mind which has gotten me in trouble for "being too mean". lol

I do miss some of them but know that they usually come back when they are ready. =)

I'm still here, lurking from time to time... Someone..(cough cough) thought it would be a good idea for me to get a part time job, get out of the house, make a little extra money. WORST.IDEA.EVER! jk

After 7 years I had to walk away from the daily drop by here.

I was getting to emotionally invested and beat up here.

It is still my favorite mama and papa watering hole. I just have given myself the needed space from it.

There is also a FB group I know alot of the originals moved onto.....Liking the fact it was in real time and you could actually connect without it being in the form of a question(hopefully it is ok I mention this...I will not link it as I was not the creator of the page and do not know all the ''rules'').

I have my favorites, my not so favorites and the ones I will love regardless.

This site is too useful to give up 100%.

Cheryl O., any idea how she's doing?

I have wondered about Rachel D, and I also miss Mechanic Mama as someone else mentioned. Last I saw, Lee P had had a new baby but was having a few struggles with her marriage, then she was gone. I have wondered how she is doing. 8kidsdad, no way... have not missed him for a second, with his scare tactics and Obama-hating rants. I honestly feel this site has been nicer (relatively speaking!!) since he has taken a little break. My guess is he will be back however.

Karen M, Cheryl O. Is now Wild One. You can't miss her 'WELCOME TO MAMAPEDIA' stuff that still goes on when someone new posts.

I liked Tracy xo, and a couple of others who have been kind to me over the years.

ETA: Czechmama doesn't come here anymore. She got tired of the drama. I keep in touch with her via e-mail.

I agree with Momof4 - Dandy is a regular member who likes to mess with board.

Not sure if I miss Dandylion. There was one....troll....oooohhhh...sort miss that one for the insane questions!!

So really? I guess I don't miss anyone!! If I like them (and they like me too) - we keep in touch with each other. It's great to get away from the "drama" from here sometimes and get to know someone outside of this forum.

Tracyxo was great! I do miss her answers! Sadly she was somewhat bullied off of the site somewhat by a crazy, quasi stalker-type 0f person. Sad -- I do miss her on this forum and I hope she'll reappear O. day.

I also miss Rachel D. She had a GREAT sense of humor and irony.

There was O. dad on here who was really O. of the women! So, in a way, I guess he's still here after all. ( kind of disappeared after s/he forgot who s/he was signed in as at the moment and quoted him/herself as the other person!
Man! Sometimes it's like a soap opera around here!

I miss Mechanic Mama and Suzu Mac (although she posts occasionally, she was once more of a regular, she's busy running SexCies, her new company!)

I don't miss anyone. The ones that have left, for the most part, made a big show of it, grabbed their ball, and huffed off.
There is one lady who I actually liked quite a bit, although she came accross as a breastfeeding nazi, but I think she had another kid and just doesn't have the time.

I was wondering if people made a FB group, as there was some talk about that. I have no need for a FB group instead so you're stuck with me. Nice to see Jim at Home but I can't say I miss Dandy or 8kids. I generally like it when we have a different POV, like from a dad.

Yes, but some aren't gone - they are just tremendously busy. 8kidsdad plays Santa during the holiday season and is working on learning how hard a job dealing with public safety is and how hard working for the taxpayers is. Tracy is taking a break from the site, Rachel is working a full time job and taking care of kids as a single mother (2 full times jobs). I miss Jim At Home - I don't know where he is. Dandylion wrote a little bit ago and said that she was able to get surgery and a little radiation done. I'm so glad for her.

I miss Martha who was our resident 504 plan/IEP specialist. (Autism specialist as well.) We were lucky to have her for as long as we did. I am sure that she was far too busy doing her work. After all, she gets paid to give the advice she gave us for free. I know there are others - can't remember their names just now.

Does anyone remember the OTHER Jo W? I couldn't figure out why sometimes I loved this mum and other times I wanted to choke her. Oh. That's why. 2 Jo Ws!!! (#2 not from Misery. Missouri. Tomato tomahto). A 3rd JoW popped up recently, but a)Im not sure that wasn't bored Jo's evil twin, and the 'other' Jo W hasn't posted since 2009

Ha, I was just wondering where all the dad's went yesterday!

I really miss Tracyxo (used to go by Tracy K before another Tracy K joined up). We are totally apart on the political spectrum, but she was one member who is able to engage in respectful civil discourse without being offensive. I feel bad for the stuff she has gone through and pray that things are better now.

8kidsdad--I appreciate his old-school values & devotion to his wife, but don't always agree with his political posts (not because I think they are fundamentally flawed, but sometimes the evidence is shaky.)

Maybe she just changed names, but Molly--I don't recall seeing much from her lately.

I also joined the FB group for a while, but it was too active, even for a FB-aholic like me, so after several days I had to leave the group. I deactivated my FB account a few days ago.

I know I haven't seen 8kidsdad in a while, but it gets to be the same questions over and over asked differently and sometimes I think people get bored and step away. I know I stepped away for a year or so. It also may have to do with some SAHM going to work, or things like that. Sometimes it's the drama like MzKitty says. Sometimes I'm on here when I have extra time and sometimes I am overwhelmed with stuff.

All of the people you mentioned. Don't see Peg M. much these days.

I think they just move on to other things. I hope Tracy's ok. Wow, Tat2d -- 7 years? You've hung in there. :)
