Do Needles in the Foot Hurt?

Hi I have three plantar warts on the bottom of my foot. Started off with one but spread after a while. I have tried apple cider vinegar, the banana peel treatment and also a plantar wart cream, which just made the wart hurt even more. Does anyone have any suggestions to what I can do now? Or I am just going to have to go to the doctor and get it cut out and I really don`t want to... Does the needle in the foot hurt? Because that is what is preventing me from doing it....

What can I do next?

They numb the area first so you don't feel a thing. And I don't think they use needles on plantar warts - instead they freeze them off.

Having it cut out is a "walk in the park", if you will, compared to living with it!

We put duck tape on my younger daughters warts and it eventually made them go away. Not sure if that will help you in your situation. My daughter didn't have pain and they were planters I guess but not too big. We also used liquid bandage solution. Not sure why it helped but it did.
Good luck

I had one when I was a kid. My mom took me to the dr and they froze it off. It hurt a lot, but I was SO glad when the wart was finally gone!

They freeze them off, hurts a lot less than the wart itself.

Not as much as all the other stuff you've been doing.

I had mine frozen out. It hurts like the absolute dickens. The thing that you have to do is have the doctor freeze, wait a minute, freeze, wait a minute, freeze, wait a minute. My dermatologist told me that it hurts so much that people want it to be over with quick, and it's the waiting between the applications that makes it work. You end up with a blood blister, but after a few days, it doesn't hurt as much. You may need to have the freezing done again, according to how deep your warts are.

This is better than cutting the warts out. Go to a dermatologist to have this done, Jenny.

Our (former) podiatrist wanted to twilight sedate then remove my sons plantar's wart because he said no child could tolerate the needle on the foot pain.
I tried the acid plasters you can buy at the pharmacy for about $2. Cut the acid patch to size, apply to area & cover with a band aid after every shower.
It took about 2 weeks bit it worked.
Wart gone & has sated gone for a couple years now.

The duct tape remedy is the only one I've heard of that worked, but it will take a really long time.

Plantar warts are painful. The needle in the foot would probably be less painful than what you are already experiencing. Get them removed by a doctor.

In my life, I have had two warts, both on one foot, and had to have them both surgically removed as the roots were fairly deep. The needle between my toes to numb my foot was, at that time, the WORST pain I have ever experiences. I screamed...honestly screamed. Of course, that was before I had children or kidney stones, so now I know a lot better...but yes, it's still a painful memory. Sorry! :(

(I'd do it again if I had to, because like everyone below says, it's over with relatively quickly, you heal, and then you no longer have the warts!!)

Have you tried the salicylic acid pads by Dr Scholls? They have pads to go around the affected area, and the trick with these is not to leave them on endlessly. Let some of it come off, and then let it heal a little. It takes longer, but eventually they do go away.

I also (when I had them) tried using slices of garlic on it at night. Got smelly feet for sure!

I recently had two shots in the right foot and one in the left foot.. They were for Neuromas (inflamed nerves) .. This time around, the shots did not hurt and I believe it's because this specific Podiatrist with less rushed when doing it and took the time to numb the area with some numbing spray... (which my former Doc did neither) Therefore, I definitely think it depends on who is giving the shot..

My shots were done on the ball of my foot and right on top between the bones.. and since feet In general don't have a lot of meat on them, it could be why the shots can hurt a little... Also, if doing Cortisone (which is what I did) the area of injection and surrounding actually hurt for about a week before I began to feel over-all relief... BUT.. if shots are done well and the doctor takes the time to massage in the Cortisone, the results can be good...

Were the shots worth it.. YES.. (the second time around) and in my case.. they did eventually relieve a lot of foot pain.... Why not go to the Podiatrist.. They see that condition all the time... what's a little pain for some major relief...

think about it..

good luck :)
